Ok so at the moment i a gymless, with some help from Mr. MacRea i may be able to sneak into the local gym at a reduced price, Brandon you'l be the most kick ass dude ever if it works.
*crosses fingers*
Mind you last time i was home a flirted my way into 7 free weeks for the price of 2. Too bad the girls that gave me the deals have left the store
Weds
Heavy Bag work
35 pushup burpees
Pullups on an I beam (can only get to the first knuckle)
BW x 5
BW x 5
Hammer Curls
50 x 9
50 x 8
50 x 8
Thurs
Heavy Bag work
DB cleans 50lb in each hand, working on humping it up ala the Misses
5 supersets
30 pushups
10 ab wheel rollouts
Forearm work 25lb DB 4 sets (i may have these backwards)

Whoa, that T-nation article is different than the missus instructions. The t-nation article leads you through the 2nd part of the lift different. I think I like the Mrs. better.

Yeah i've noticed that too, misses suggests acually physically using the legs to start the weight and the other guy is suggestig more of a jumping highpull. I am going to try taking some from each and see how that works for me.
The DB practice i found helped alot to teach me to use the legs though.

I kinda toyed with it last night, (with just the bar) and the "hump and shrug" proved to feel very akward. Partly becuase I never do shrugs, but mostly just because it's a different than I've ever done cleans. I think I might do the same thing Standard and take something from each and see what I can come up with that feels comfortable.

Also, what I like about Mzsszs is that he has you swing(1) the weight up. In steps 8 and 9 of the t-nation article he has you almost do a cuban press....it's whery strange.
**** (1) by swing i don't me like a swing set. I mean hump, shrug, bring weight up then hop under it, like his video.

Yeah i get what your saying
The misses seems to start the weight moving with the use of his legs by pushing the bar up and out by popping his hips. Then using the traps to guide the weight in the intended direction.
The article talks more like your jumping but transfering all the upward motion to the barbell and then shrugging and high pulling the weight to get the max height.
These are both clear winners over my shrug dominated lift, its unreal how much my traps hurt after cleans with my shitty form, hell i do retarded weights with shurgs but this just kills them.

Funny thing is my cleans are the exact opposite. I don't shrug at all. I always drive up with the legs, the with out shrugging, "swing" the weight up and into position on my shoulders.

With your legs and my traps.... we could take over S&P by cleaning disturbing amounts of weights
