Metal $120

8 feet 6x6" wide flange I beam
9 feet of 2" OD thick walled round tubing
2 feet 1" OD thick walled tubing
2 feet 1.5" OD thick walled tubing
3 feet 2x2" square stock
8 6"x6" 1/4" thick flat stock
3 feet 2" ID thick walled pipe

Hardwear ($15)

4 5/8" Grade 8 nuts and bolts (3")
8 5/8" washers
4 5/16th Grade 8 nuts and bolts

Have extra I beam (2feet), 2"OD pipe and 2 extra pieces of flat stock. Going to make loading pins from the flat stock and pipe, should have enough material for 4 if i wanted.

Also going to use the 2" ID pipe to make bulldog type collars for the FW handles, barbell and to attach my chain to the BB.

Tools ($193)

Drill Press $80
Drill bits (1/2" - 1") $30
Tap and Die set $60
Welding wire $15
Finned grinder wheel $8

Grand Total

Materials $135
Tools $193

Total $328 but the tools i can now use in the future so their not really a cost of this project except the wire and grinder wheel which obviously you use up.

Handle weight is 66 lbs unloaded without collars

By the lack of a gas cylinder I would guess that you are using flux core wire. Looks good.

BTW, where's the bench video?

Thanks merrill, yeah the handles were done a little too quick so i'll probably give them another go over to clean then up a bit. The welder was maxed out trying to get enough heat when i was dealing with the I beam.

Bench will be coming shortly i took a few of ascendents suggestions and have been working on those before i get record it.

I thought that design looked familiar. Outstanding job, dude. Those things look sexy as hell.

Maybe you'll inspire others to start building their own shit. So much more satisfying.

I assume you have another one just like it...?

Have you load tested them yet?

It's a comp legal version of a D.A.I. Commonly referred to as a "Dual-action Anal Intruder". They're huge in Germany right now.
