That's what you get for wearing sandpaper shorts when you lift.

Try something with a finer grain next time.

I would blame the 400 pounds more than the shorts, but i guess i could move to a higher grit

Weight Training: Squat

Day was going well untill i had what can only be called a massive brain fart when hitting rep 3 at 275, had way too much forward lean or something and strained my right calf completing the rep, did a few more sets but just wasn't helping things. Doesn't feel too bad, but didn't want to further stress it.

ATG Front
135 x 8

ATG Back Squat
135 x 8
185 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 3
315 x 1
275 x 3
225 x 5

Hypers
BW + 45 x 12
BW + 45 x 12

Heavy Bag Work

Seeing how my squating sucked balls and i didn't want to risk making things worse with much ham glute work hit the heavy bag. Felt really good throwing, punches seemed to be flowing nicely, hook actually felt really good, not as good as my straight right but it never does. Worked on foot work, sipping and starting combo's from the shell

5 x 3 min rounds, 1 min rest between rounds (14 oz bag gloves)

Round 1: Jab, doubling up and changing levels
Round 2: 1 2 combo, changing levels between punches
Round 3: 1 2 3 combo, hook was coming along well
Round 4: 2 3 combo, feeling good, getting the straight right out quick
Round 5: 1 2 3 2 combo, had a few issues not bringing the right back to the chin after the first cross

Sorry missed this earlier

A guy i workout with at the gym has alot of problems with shrugs as well but is a very strong guy, couple things people tend to mess up that make shrugs alot more difficult than they should be. Going too slow, you're not training for size, just drive the weight up as quick as you can. The other is arm bend, it doesn't add any benefical movement, it just makes it alot harder and can injure your biceps because of the strain.
