Becoming a true force of terror (Weightlifting, conditioning and BJJ)
First off, this log will be done in kg's not pounds. I have been training bjj for a while, I am a bluebelt now, have been for 9 months. Have also been lifting weights for a couple of years but it has not been really structured. And that will be the biggest change for me now.
I'm gonna focus on strength for two montsh to begin with and then do more cardio for one month and then back to strength. This is because i feel that strength is my weakest area, my cardio is ok (it can always get better of course).
My stats:
Age: 23
Height: 187 cm
Weight: 82kg
I will be doing Bjj 3 times/week and lifting weights 3 times/week. Gonna do fullbody training, if I don't get to the gym on the weight days I will do hillsprints or logflipping instead.

Nice log, why don't you post up your routine and some goals?
Oh, and welcome to the KG revolution.

Cool, I am almost exactly the same height and weight as you with pretty much the same goals.
Looking forward to reading this!

Finally got my ass to the gym to lift some weights. I'm not gonna post the warm-up lifts, only the lifts on the weight that I consider training.
Goodmornings
80kg 5-5-5
Zercher squats
80kg 5-5-4
Weighted pushups
15kg 5-6-4
Weighted chins
10kg 3-3-3
Overall it felt pretty good, but I am alot weaker in the chins then I thought. Have to work alot on that. It was the first time I tried this version of squats and I must say that I liked it alot, it's going to be a regular visitor in my routine.

that's a great goal and really how I feel right now. I've only competed once and didn't fare too well, but I'd much rather win every white belt division in every tournament than worry about my blue belt. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not ready for a promotion until I am dominating my division at tournaments. It's much easier to focus on competition than worrying about when and how I'll be promoted to the next rank.

Exactly Dragonfire. If I focus on the next competition I know when it will happen, it is under my control, if I focus on getting a purple it is not under my control at all, it is all up to my trainer. And I do honestly not care about the belt, what I care about is develop my skills and getting better, if that leads to me getting another color on my belt so be it.

Bjj today, felt pretty good. Was sore after yesterdays workout, but nothing I couldn't handle.
Did some technical training from the closed guard, I need to do more guard. Gonna focus on that for a couple off weeks.
