I don't know what the hell happened today...I couldn't even freaking get my initial lift to break off of the ground. My mental toughness has been awry lately anyway because I kissed Lusst the other night...I told him I wasn't gay, but he overpowered me.
Maybe I'll do better next week...

Fixed.

Note to self: do not, under any circumstances, agree to "go lift" with Lusst....

Hotel Workout 1
Dumbbell Snatches
25 lbs x 15 (per hand)
25 lbs x 15 "
25 lbs x 10 "
25 lbs x 10 "
Burpees
10
10
10
10
10
Sigh...25 lbs was the heaviest they had. I asked around to see if they had heavier, but the 30/35 were missing. Either way, short rests between sets, I timed myself to see how fast I got to 100. It was pretty pathetic, over 5 minutes.
The burpees were a bit more solid, though I really did take it easy. Next workout, 20 minutes of tabata thrusters.
This week is gonna suck.

You found a hotel gym that has dumbbells? Huh. Nearly every one I've ever seen has just had a couple of cardio machines and one Natilus/Cybex universal station stuck over in a corner.
I'm not sure if including free weights that only go up to 25 lbs is better or just a slap in the face.
Either way, enjoy!

It's a super fancy Hotel with a super fancy gym. It has 3 bikes, 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 3, yes 3! separate combination cable machines with all the leg extension, lat pulldown, fake bench press fixings. Plus, it has dumbbells that go from 2-1/2 lbs to 35 lbs, though, they're missing the last few dumbbells (who steals hotel gym dumbbells?). Joy is me!

If I had to guess, I'd say that "hotel employees" are the answer to "who steals hotel gym dubmells?" I'd imagine that most guest aren't going to want to add 70 pounds to their luggage when checking out, and if they're staying at a super fancy hotel, then they can probably afford to buy their own dumbbells if they want them.
A week isn't too bad, though. You've got more than enough to keep the cardio covered, and machine "lifts" are better than nothing. You just need to survive the gym, and enjoy the room service.

Were you able to read that article on beta-alanine?
How much traveling do you have to do for your job? I traveled 40% for three years. Damn hard to keep your diet clean on the road.

Not often, if I do end up travelling, it's usually only for a day or two at most. This week long thing is a combo deal, I'm going between two client sites in the area. Hell, I don't even really consider it travelling, I'm still in the same time zone.
