Congrats on the deadlift PR. I had a similar experience this week, only I didn't get it on the final try. Nice work on your part though, keep it up!

I'm moving this here, instead of continuing to clutter up Finnegan's log.

It's splitting the difference between playing Russian Roulette with a Colt Python and a S&W 500.

Wikipedia, incomplete though it may be, makes no mention of seizures on either its DHA or EPA pages. The Omega 3 page lists some health risks, including "increased bleeding can occure if overused (normally over 3 grams per day)," which seems to be the dosage you're recommending. It's citing an FDA letter from 2000, though. Do you have something more current handy? Or is an unsupported claim of high-percentage seizures your way of telling me to go to the D&S forum and dig up what I can find there on my own?

Your one leg must be like 3 feet longer than the one I wasn't pulling.

In all seriousness, I don't know why they'd only recommend 1g a day. I'm think it's to not be intimidating to the casual user. It's documented that over 3g, and you get a blood thinning effect that increases bruising potential. Since I assume most of us are doing some sort of combat art that induces lots of bruising as it is, I usually recommend abutting that 3g ceiling.

Sigh. I was beginning to think that's where this was headed. Should have just done my own homework first.

Seem to remember Fatty pulling something similar way back in the dark ages; had some kid believing that improperly mixed whey (casein? creatine? don't remember) caused cancer or some such.

Bah. I'm just annoyed that I had to go poking around to find a revolver model that fires a magnum round and only has a five-chamber cylinder.
