What do you kid about?

I was taking some time last week to get used to my work schedule before I do it and lifting. Then I got poison ivy on my arms. Now the ivy's mostly gone, and I think I have a staph infection on my leg... FML.

Thanks, fellas. Doc wasn't sure if it's staph or not; didn't take a culture, but it's obviously a skin infection of some kind. No puss as of yet, so either I got on the immune boosting supplements and started using the antibiotic ointment quick enough to keep it from getting bad, or it's something that just looks similar.

Had a desire to lift today, but I figured it was better if I let all my body's resources (beyond walking all day at work) go to fighting the infection. Hopefully this thing clears up soon.

Today - Staph seems to be basically gone. Still keeping it covered and putting antibiotic cream on it, but felt it was good enough to go ahead and lift today.

Warm-up - arm swings, stand up from base

ZDL
135x5

Reeves DL
135x1

ZDL
185x5

Reeves DL
185x0 - Doesn't help that my plates have lips that differ from the norm.

ZDL
230x5
230x5
230x5
230x5
230x5

OHP
135x5
160x5
160x5
160x5
160x5
160x5

Was going to do pull-ups, until my pull-up bar broke out of the doorframe with me on it on the first rep.

Today

Warm-up - chain breakers, 20 BW squats, GNP fists and knees on the ground bag

OHS
45x5
65x5
85x5
105x5

FS
135x5
165x5
185x5

BS
225x20

DB Bench
50x5
80x5
100x3
100x4
100x3

DB BOR
100x12
120x8

Int/Ext rotations with band, stretches, a few bridges

After using my bench to bench a few times, now, I'm really not liking it for that... As squat stands it's okay, although it's not a rack and I'd be tentative about putting too much weight on it, but as a bench, it's too tall for my short-ass legs, the sectioning makes it hard to arch, the the upper portion (which moves for incline/decline/squats) is a little wobbly, even with a couple 2x4 chunks under each side.

Today - ~ 2 hours of rolling with my buddy who's up from TN visiting some family. I helped him get interested in BJJ last fall, but since the first of the year, he's been training hard core and is amazing, now. The only submissions I even had an opening to go for where a kneebar and a heel hook, and he got out of the way of them quickly. I did get a hip toss on him, but he was able to sweep and mount me almost immediately off of it.

What happened to your numbers? Did you just take a long time off lifting?

Yeah. Took like 2 months off after graduation, and even since I got trying to get back into it, it's been sporadic, so almost like 3 months off.
Also, I'm not pushing super hard right now, 'cause I've only got roughly 315lbs counting bar.
