The thought of you furrowing your ginormous brows and scowling at my laziness is all the motivation I need.

Speaking of laziness... didn't see much traffic in your log. Well, training-wise, the slew of enright-burns and shit stirring was running smoothly

What?! Check out my log. There's been training. You have to look at the date of the posts. It goes like this:

Day 1
Train
15 shit talking posts

Day2

155 x 5
155 x 5

dips
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 10

MMA Grappling

25 minutes boxing instruction (just a very thorough and technical break down of the basic punches and the bread-and-butter combinations for the new guys)

45-minutes instruction + drilling:
- straight ankle lock from opp's guard
- knee bar from opp's guard
- defense for both; some live rounds working with top man trying to score leg locks and bottom man trying to catch triangles and armbars and avoid the locks, working mostly from a loose guard for the top man's benefit

25-minutes live rolling
-scored a good pair of straight ankle locks, one off of a scramble and one just as was taught from guard
-had a good battle with a judo guy, where after being tossed on my ass I eventually locked in a triangle and he left the arm there and I managed to kimura it with the triangle locked in which was sweet
-got a kimura reversal kind of takedown
-got owned by judo guy pulling turtle and tossing me after letting my arm get caught underneath

Lots of fun

All comments about absolute numbers, or numbers relative to body weight aside: you're squatting 10% over your bench, and rowing more than either.

Somethin' ain't right there, my man.

Of course, I'm squatting less than my bench, but I know that I have problems.

No, no, I'm clear that there's a big problem, here. I just have always sucked at squatting and enjoyed pulling, so my focus was slanted accordingly... and here we are, with my squat being a shit show. I am hoping things balance out after a few cycles of dedicated practice, as I'd imagine squat gains will be bigger and more consistent leaps considering I've never really focused on it before, and will now be squatting 3x a week. This was the first session to find suitable weight + sort out technique, too.

I've been hiding under the security blanket of decent conditioning and boxing ability for awhile, but the elephant in the room is my piss-poor lifting ability. I don't think I'm weak on the mat or in the ring, but in the gym it's just downright shameful. Time to shore up the weak points
