Your ground game must be getting really solid if youre tapping blue belts

I think this guy was more of a "attendance" blue belt than a skill blue belt to be honest with you, I don't think anyone liked or respected the guy. No worries, my ground game still sucks hard

Wednesday, October 24th

6:00PM - Boxing

15-minute jump-rope warm-up

dynamic stretching + light floorwork with group:
-60 push-ups, 2-minute round of flutter kicks + static hold finisher, shoulder conditioning circle drills

3 rounds shadowboxing (first half of round all offense, quick 4,5 and 6 punch combinations, then turn out and repeat, all off of the double jab. Second half was all footwork, slips, bobs, weaves, etc and counter-punching)

4 rounds heavybag work (first 2 rounds freestyle, last 2 partner work, trying to keep the bag moving away from you with flurries/straight punches combos, while partner tries the same from opposite side, both pausing to cut angle out and circle on coach's call)

3 rounds double-end bag (very endurance-oriented, 8-10 straight punches combos off of the double jab, then working off the return for a single counter, then back to it. High volume)

3 rounds uppercut wall-bag (working on 1b-2-weave right-6b-weave left-3b-3 a lot, but generally just ripping a whole hell of a lot of power uppercuts in tandem with eachother)

2 rounds medicine ball (18lbs) conditioning drills
as follows:
-10 overhead presses
-10 front raises
-10 side raises (per side)
-10 neider presses
-10 bent-over rows (per side)
-repeat as fast as possible for the round

2 rounds speedbag work (first half of round sprint-speed circle punching, second half working pyramids with each side and lots of uppercuts, straight punches and hooks randomly interspersed to break up rythme)

Floorwork finisher:
-medicine ball crunches x100
-medicine ball supermans x50

8:00PM - MMA Grappling/Takedowns:

light jog warm-up

mat drills as follows:
-bearcrawl 2 x 25m
-duckwalk 2 x 25m
-alligator crawl 2 x 25m
-standing long jump 2 x 25m
-frop hops 2 x 25m
-walking lunges 2 x 25m
-drop step 4 x 25m
-arms-only crawl 2 x 25m

partner carry drills as follows:
-firemans carry 5 x 25m (plus 5 squats with partner shouldered per run, 25 total)
-drop step, pick up, advance 3 steps, set down, repeat 5 x 25m
-single leg takedown, sprint to other end of mat, sprint back to partner, repeat 2 x 25m
-zercher carry 5 x 25m

brief static stretching

25-minutes technique work, drilling takedowns:
-drop step to double leg with pass to side mount
-drop step to single leg with pass to side mount
-drop step to double leg with slam and pass to full mount
-one-size-fits-all hip throw from clinch (can be used with 1/2 underhooks/overhooks... body lock, whatever)

15-minutes "King of the Mats":
-Suprisingly, I was king for 4 matches in my first run, then until the end in my second run (probably 9-10 straight). Catching a lot of people with my drop step from jab range into a mangled, horribly awkward single or double-leg. Able to drive through their sprawls and finish it a couple times, and sprawled and reversed it really nicely against Chris the Bitch once. Coach seemed happy anyways

It's like a 5% discount, we could hold off though next week it will probably be 10%
