lightweight log (strength)

height: 5'4
weight: 150lbs (~25% BF, would definitely try to lose some)
age: 27

current PRs:

Deadlift: 355lbs (update: 2x365lbs)
Squat: 265lbs (update: 300lbs)
Bench: 205lbs (update: 225lbs)
SOHP: 135lbs (i suck!) (update: 155lbs)

i've been working out on and off about 3 years now and i still consider myself an amateur. i used to be one of those "curl monkeys" and "quarter squatters" until i stumbled upon this thread. made an account and started reading the FAQs. most of the answers to my questions i found there so i didn't post much (pretty obvious from my post count ). now i only lift weights 2x a week, and usually just for an hour or 1.5hrs. i go to the gym with my wife so i lift while she's on her cardio class. my routine looks like this:

workout A (Tuesday)
Deadlift: (still trying to figure out the sets and reps)
SOHP: 5x5
Cleans: 3x5
1 or 2 assistance exercises if i still have time

workout B (Thursday or Friday)
Squat: 5x5
Bench: 5x5
BOR: 3x8
1 or 2 assistance exercises if i still have time

my goals would be just to add 20-30lbs on my PRs and hopefully lose some BF (fixing my diet too). on my off days i'll be doing some cardio workout (jump rope, bike, run, burpees). finally decided to make a log to monitor myself and hopefully to get motivated too.

went to my friend's house yesterday to watch ufc after work. still had a little time so he got me a guest pass to his gym.

bought a belt the other day, it's my first time trying it out...

i still felt pretty good after my last pull, but i almost passed out because i forgot to breathe i got too excited with my new PR... but after i read Mustang's log, now i realize i still have a very very long way to go hehe. i'll try to break my record again some other time, i'll give myself enough time to recover first.

Cool, I bet you could squat more than 265 if you're doing 245x5!

I'm just afraid to max out on squats coz i don't have a spotter. I'll probably try to max next week and see how much i could do. I just hate asking random people for spots.. I feel like i'm disturbibg them from checking themselves out in the mirror hehe

Notes:
purchasing that belt really helped me in my deadlift and squat. makes me want to kick myself for not getting one sooner. well i guess i needed to work on my form first, a belt is useless if my form sucks in the first place.

i've been thinking about doing a 3-day split instead of my current 2-day split routine. i think i'm doing too much workout in one day. only problem is if i do a 3 day split, i have to wake up early and go to the gym before work coz i can't go at night. i'll just have to suck it up.
