Life's one long training session! MMA, strenght and conditioning log.

Time to start a log!
I currently live in Japan and fight in the Shooto organisation. I'm 2-2-1 so far in Japan and fight at 155lbs.
I've been overtraining (or maybe just training bad) for some time and my performance has suffered accordingly.
My goal is to use this log - and the more detailed one I keep on a notebook - to turn that around. I'm fed up to train like an animal just to see myself getting weaker all the time. I want to start training smart and make myself stronger!
So let's start. Here's some info about me:

Name: Paolo Milano
Ass.: Paraestra Tokyo
Height: 5.10
Weight: 170lbs (fighting at 155)

Lifts
Bench: 150x5
Squat: 185x5
Dl: 185x5
Yeah I know I'm pretty bad but I just started lifting a month ago.

Goals
-Stop overtraining!
-Keep my diet clean - I'd like to drop back to 165lbs and stay there.
-Improve my takedowns and G&P.
-Improve my lifts - this especially applies to my squat as my legs have always been my weak point.
-Have a good performance in my next fight (none scheduled yet).
-Be promoted to Class A Shooto!!!

Currently I train in cycles of 3 weeks' hard training followed by 1 week of "active recovery".
Most if not all my MMA and grappling training is live rolling or sparring. People out here can't seem to be bothered to do stuff like drills and such. That no doubt contributed to my overtraining issues.
Now I'm trying to cut back on the amount of rounds I do while trying to stick to quality work - eg. experimenting new approaches or training with guys that give me a hard time in one particular area. Really just challenge myself to improve my weak points rather than always try to "win".
So here's my plan for the next week (week 2 of my cycle):

Mon:
-Morning: Parestra Hachioji (MMA sparring)
-Evening: Paraestra Tokyo (shadow boxing, grappling/g&p play, g&p bagwork)

Tue:
-Muay Thai (new gym)
-Weights (squat day)

Wed:
-Morning: Run (either recovery or 90% but most likely recovery)
-Evening: Paraestra Tokyo (grappling, g&p play, MMA)

Thu:
-Muay Thai
-Weights (DL day)

Fri:
-Paraestra Shibuya (grappling 5 rds)

-Swimming

Sat:
Morning: Run
Evening: Crazy Bees (boxing and grappling sparring)

That's the plan. Now let's see how much of it I can actually do.

Ok, DAY 1!

Change of program already. Hachioji was closed so I switched the Deadlift workout to this morning, cardio tomorrow and ond more session at Paraestra Tokyo on friday.

Morning:
-Deadlift:4x5 up to 210lbs (nice 20lbs increase and still felt "light")
-SOHP:4x5 up to 110lbs (5lbs increase)
-Pullups:4x5 @ 33lbs
-Full Contact Twists:3x10 @ 33lbs
-2x5min bag work.

Btw, I saw the best curls today. This old guy was trying to curl a huge dumbell with his left. However since he couldn't he would just hold it with the left arm bend at 90?while actually lifting and lowering it with the right.
He was pretty muscular too and was standing in front of a mirror. I just don't know how he couldn't see that his left biceps were just the only muscles in his body that were NOT moving.

Evening:
Paraestra Tokyo:
8x6.5min grappling (first 3 rounds were pretty easy so I went a bit longer).

do you fancy yourself a striker or grappler?

Maybe a striker but I think that's only because most guys in Shooto are grapplers.

Edit: there may be another change of plans. Got no cash so I may not be able to join the new Muay Thai gym this month. If that's the case I'll take the opportunity to throw in some bjj on tuesdays and thursdays.

DAY2:
-Morning: running & hill sprints.

-Evening:bjj

I felt really strong today and am not tired at all from yesterday. That's good because yesterday my joints were all sore but somehow they seem to have got better.

Good luck bro, don't worry about your BP, Squat, and DL numbers, they'll grow very large very quickly if you've never trained them before. The legs are very powerful tools in MMA and squats and OHP's will help your legs transfer power to your core and from your core into your fists.
Good luck with Shooto too
