Great pic. Maeda's gym is just a couple miles down the road from me.

Wanted to do floor press and such today but parents are in town so probably won't be able to.

My quads are in a nearly paralytic state from the squats and prowler pushing. Good things the only thing i have to do today is play 18 holes of golf. I hope that helps me recover... or we have a cart.

Pullup Negatives (3x8x5 sec. negatives)
Corner BB Press (6x45, 3x6x90)
Blue Band Pulldowns (3x33)

Lots of upper body stretching. Legs finally becoming less sore. Also got Scrawny to Brawny today for 5 bucks. score. has great sections on flexibility, proper form, and correcting bad posture (this is the part that made me buy it because i walk around like a caveman). Also big up to Xtrainer for missing lifts and going back and hitting them in the same session. thanks for the floor press.

Jiu-Jitsu (gi)

side mount attacks:
trapping the arm with lapel
double armbar
omoplata from armbar
armageddon move from omoplata

Rolling:

Did about 7 x 3min. rounds. Felt good, strong, and superior to everybody that I rolled with. Good night overall. Miguel gave us a talk about needed our blue belts by the end of the year. I have no idea what comp I'll be able to do by then, but I have to do one more and win it decisively.

Strength

Deadlift
10x135
3x185
1x 205, 225, 275, 315, 365
5x1x405.. singles

Cable Towel Rows (3x20xstack)
Cable Pull Through (3x15xstack)
Machine Reverse Flyes.. attempt at posture correction

Note: Deadlifts felt slow at the top, but good easy singles none the less. Once I find or buy new straps, I can do stiff leg DLs instead of pullthroughs.

GPP:

10 minutes of high intensity on stair stepper and machine circuit. It's what happens when you go to the gym with the special lady.

Jiu-Jitsu

side mount attacks:
trapping the arm with lapel
double armbar
gogoplata from armbar
armageddon move from gogoplata

if stacked in double armbar and can't finish either:
  1. grab belt and pant-leg
  2. chop down with foot behind head
  3. kick up with foot in him to launch them over your head
  4. if opponent bases toward your head, then simply push them over forward for the sweep

Rolling:

Rolled with a ton of white belts (probably 6-7) and felt amazing. Sweeps were coming easy as were submissions from bottom and I-position. Rolled with Juan and managed to stop his game and almost passed his guard once. Gotta keep working my game as I struggle against really lanky grapplers.
