Sweep-I-don't-like from failed trianle - much better in gi. requires holding onto the arm and rolling off to seemingly let them take your back, but you sit through and sweep them over.
Rolling
Rolled with a guy from another school and was tooling on him until he kneed me in the temple. I now have a large indent between my left eye and my left ear. next time I roll with the kid, it's over...

Notes: Didn't time it and I should've done diamond pushups, but that's for next time. Just needed to move around during the day to keep losing weight. I'm at 206 after jiu-jitsu. I need to be under 200.
Jiu-Jitsu (nogi)
Tips from the pros:
Ger overhook on the top arm->
Half guard arm drag - yank arm forward and immediately work for over-under
Half guard sweep - when they either try to crush you or pull away, break half guard and hook bottom foot under opponent's opposite leg.. use momentum and kick them over landing in side mount
Rolling
Most of the really good guys were rolling with Miguel. I rolled with everybody that I could but didn't get challenged tonight. Good workout but as before, I gotta keep pushing myself.
Notes: Gonna get the crap beat out of me tomorrow.

De La Riva Sweeps and takedown. This takedown works excellent when guys are trying to pass my half guard. I have to work on remembering it.
Rolling
Went with a bunch of new guys with no problem. Rolled with a purple belt who I normally do alright against but today got murdered with leglocks. Kurt Pellegrino made the great observation of 'quit trying to submit him and get your leg the hell out of there.' Definitely something to remember.

TEAM STANDARD (won )
Pellegrino:
From north-south kimura - step over head, come up on haunches and then step over their back with the other leg sitting to your butt. straighten the leg that is over their back and their hand will pop out. put your hips back in and finish the kimura
With the gi from side mount - put arm under their head and grab the shoulder of their gi. grab deep on near side lapel with near side hand(thumb in), put arm across their neck and put elbow to the ground. if they aren't submitting and push your elbow off their neck, hold tight to their shoulder but swing the arm over their head and across their neck. then draw as a bow and arrow.
Rolling
Spent a lot of time talking and drilling with Miguel, Kurt, and the other guys and only rolled once. Great night for learning, but poor for conditioning. With three weeks until NAGA, its time to go balls to the wall.

Notes: Should've made smaller jumps on the cleans, but not bad for having not done cleans in two months. Also the 2k row should've been better but I slacked in the middle thinking I had time to rest and then had to go crazy at the end just to make 7:21.. my conditioning is in the crapper. three weeks out and what a mess.
also weighing 209 full fed and hydrated. might be a bit heavier for this NAGA compared to last but I'm still on track to make weight no problem.

30 minutes on the stair stepper... this was freaking brutal but definitely helped raise my endurance
Machine circuit of 2x8 each for rows, bw chins, crunches, pushdowns, back raises, and other leg stuff.
Note: decent gpp.
