Jiu-Jitsu (gi)

Basic elevator sweep
Butterfly guard
Butterfly sweep (remember to kick leg out before sweeping)
Butterfly triangle

Rolling

Rolled with a few people but nobody that I really wanted to wrestle with. Kept going with a big guy who thought he was helping me train because he was big, but I'd submit him in 15 seconds then he'd have to take a 30 second breather. Tonight I trained my patience.

Notes: Hopefully I'll go in late Thursday night and go over my gameplan and then I'll be all set to go. I'm really happy with my game and my top game is twice as good as it was last year and my bottom game is INFINITELY better. I'm not going in overconfident, but there really isn't a position that I am scared to get in any more. This'll be fun. Tomorrow, gameplan. Friday.. the cut (and a 6 hour drive.. yikes).

Rest Day

Thus the cut begins. Should be easy.

Back Home

Very very happy with my performance at the tournament. Upset with how it was run and the quality of the judging. I didn't know that outright errors like what happened would actually go on at a big show like NAGA. Update and pictures to come.. highlights for now:

  • Flying scissor takedown to kneebar
  • UFC after party
  • Hitting countless half guard sweeps
  • Relaxing
  • Being able to eat normally again
  • Drinking a beer for the first time in 2 months
