Take a bath or 3. Make sure the water is comfortable. Vicks Vapo rub, vitC, sleep, and keep active.

I've had a moderate cold for 2 weeks now, I'm just really glad it hasn't stopped me from doing anything.

Feeling much better.. we'll see how it goes tomorrow morning... last heavy lifting session tomorrow, skiing this weekend, last or 2nd to last intense metcon workout monday, then tuesday, wednesday, thursday at jitsu.

QMGPP: 50 pushups

7xHill Sprints

There were 3 of these hills in a row. This is from the top of the 1st. Yeah, those little dots on the top left of the hill (in a line) are friends who made it up the hill about 5 minutes after me huffing and puffing and making comments about taking steroids and calling me ironman. I didn't feel like going into the specifics of steroids destroying cardiovascular capacity and such.


You get a little crazy after sprinting up all these hills. Me on the right.

5k cross-country ski

Notes: The hills I was running up were actually frozen sand dunes that we proceeded to sled back down. Felt great to sprint up hills (middle sized hill was approximately 100 steps to the top) for a change.

Time: 3:31 (31sec. PR)


Notes: I'm dumb. Should've been 15x each movement for the first one but did 10 instead. Still hit a PR on the second.

Oh Noes: Weighed 204 today after eating lots of carbohydrates this weekend (breads, bagels, muffins). Hopefully cutting out all carbohydrates this week will make the water weight fall back off. Otherwise this cut is going to suck. Good thing we weigh in the day before.

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Rest Day

Last rest day before Friday, when I'll make what will hopefully be not so bad of a cut. I figure that 4 days without carbohydrates of any kind other than fruits and vegetables and then no fruits/veggies on thursday or friday will help me drop the water that I need to fairly easily. Right now I still weigh about 200 from my stupid weekend. dumb, dumb dumb,

Lunch-time GPP: 50 pushups, 50 squats


Also saw that May 24th is NAGA Chicago. Glad I'll get two big tournaments in this year, maybe 3.
