Yeah, you do. The breakdowns for the divisions this year are 6 months or less, 6 months- 2 years, 2-5 years, and 5+ years
We could theoretically face each other since I'm going to compete at 225...

No technique tonight, just 2 hours of rolling.

Rolling

8x5min. rounds - Rolled with a bunch of the white belts, some of which are at or above my skill level. I'm realizing that I need to play a smarter game against somebody strong. I normally defend the guillotine VERY well but I tapped to it tonight because although I did everything right, I didn't fight the hands at all. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my performance technique wise, but I was impressed that when everybody else was exhausted and dead, I was still rolling with anybody that would roll.

NOTES: Strength is solid, time to start conditioning as well. Love lifting weights, but if I don't start doing intervals, muscle endurance, or tabata style workouts... I won't last through all my tournament matches.

Strength

Power Cleans
6x135
4x155
3x175
1x195 10# PR
1x205 20# PR
5x155

Chins (3xBW, 3x5, 3x10, 3x25, 3x35)
Back Raises (10xBW, 10x25, 8x45)
Cable Pulldowns (8x165, 6x180, 6x165)

Finisher: Rower - 1k in 3:40
Notes: Forewent Deadlift today as I want to hit 405 before New Years. Thought I'd go light and do backraises heavy as an assist and then hit 405 next week.

Rolling

Rolled with a new guy and with Wes. Everybody else decided not to roll tonight. Frustrated that I'm not getting in the rolling that I want to. I'll make up for that by having the next two weeks off work. Note to start working the modified d'arce from north/south. AND STRETCH MORE.

Nice job with the cleans.

You are doing a clean and not a power clean? I don't do cleans, they are a little too difficult. I just stick with the power clean for now.

fixed... i like the power cleans better, but the agility from being able to get under the bar is good as well.

Going to rework my split. I hope to be doing something like this (I'm going to be editing this post as I make changes):

Day 1:
Squat Heavy
Bench
BB Rows

Day 2:
Deadlift
Corner BB Press
Chins

Day 3:
Front Squat Heavy /OH Squat?
Power Cleans
Dips

Core Work
: Decline Russian Twists, Med Ball throws / slams, BB Russian Twists, etc.
Finishers: DB Swings, Tabata / Interval Sprints, Tabata Row Machine

Onto today's workout:

Strength
  • Squat (5x185, 5x185, 5x225, 5x255, 1x275, 1x300).. 25lb. PR
  • Bench (6x135, 5x185, 4x205, 2x215, 1.5x230).. 5lb. PR
  • Chins (6xBW, 3x25, 3x25, 6xBW).. going to start doing these wide grip.. Seem more difficult that way
  • OH Halo (3x20x45#)
  • 1k Row in 3:35.. 5sec. PR, but I can still go WAY faster

Notes: Got greedy and went for two reps on the 230 bench. Could've had it if I would've done less beforehand. Not a bad workout. It's nice not doing all the same muscle group in one day.
