AM
Jiu-Jitsu (nogi):
- Big Suprise side mount escape - when Opp. has you in side mount, underhook their body with your near side hand. kick out with the leg facing away from Opp. and roll away from them. As you are rolling use the arm that was underhooking their body and reach all the way around over the top to finish all set up for an anaconda choke.
- Finishing the anaconda - remember to pull tight to chest and SQUEEZE with your elbows. cave in on the side where your hand is on your bicep (non choking arm) and sprawl back. if no tap, roll over toward your non-choking arm until you are both on your backs and then begin circle around to hook their leg. maybe now i can start finishing anacondas... dammit.
Rolling:
Rolled with Anthony and Blue for about 20 minutes. Passed Blue's guard a few times and he had a few near submissions and the same with anthony. Got a rough choke during a transition anthony but just decided to squeeze with everything i had and got the tap.. not bad considering we were gassed bad... gotta start doing more conditioning and less strength. being strong is great and all but it's time that i can outlast guys and make the strength work.

TAUGHT AGAIN! Went over the stuff that we learned this morning. I can't believe how hard it is to lead a class of adults.
Rolling:
Rolled with a bunch of white belts and didn't have any problem handling them, but also wasn't really working enough technique. I need to start rolling with goals in mind and going for that specific goal... got tapped by one of the younger guys and was pretty upset because I was taking it way too easy.

Rest Day - 1.5mi. walk.... right calf is sore as hell and I have no idea why.. been hurting since the box jumps a week or two ago.

Jiu-Jitsu (nogi):
Worked on different attacks from S-Mount. Going to try and drill it after every practice. Either: - attack the neck to take S-mount from traditional mount
- go straight from attacking kimura in side mount into S-mount
Rolling:
Rolled 2x3min. rounds real quick before we had to pack up the gym for the walls to be fixed.. did about a billion farmer's walks carrying stuff back to the back room.

- Side mount escape to anaconda (big surprise)
- Punch Combinations to double-leg takedowns
- Overhook standup from guard into takedown
Rolling:
Rolled with Anthony and got tooled on the entire time. Really have been put in my place lately.
