Lifting:
  • Squat (10x45, 4x135, 4x155, 4x205, 4x225, 4x255)
  • OH Squat (5x45, 5x65, 5x75, 10x45)
  • Box Jumps (5x20.. 30sec. rest )

PROPER amount of stretching... felt great

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007


Rest and Recovery Day. Walked about 2 miles (with three dogs pulling me)... so i guess we'll count that as active recovery.

Walking seems to help me immensely, especially on days after I do squats, especially if they're heavy ATG squats.

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

I'm going to start keeping track of my sleep in this log because I feel that my lack of sleep is heavily effecting my life and performance as an athlete. So, 6 hours of sleep last night.

Another good rest day. Diet stayed tight today... for once. Time for some sleep and then jitsu and push press day tomorrow.

BW was 199 AFTER rolling this morning... that means im walking around 204ish.. gotta get back on the horse as far as early morning workouts.

AM

Rolling:

Rolled with Miguel, Mike, and Blue. Only got submitted by Miguel, but I could feel a bit of rust from not having wrestled for two weeks. Got a NICE armbar on Miguel.. it's a weird one that's hard to describe though.. but of course he got out. GOTTA quit giving my back and work on taking the back. So focus for now is pulling guard in sweeps, defending the back and taking other's backs when they turtle.

  • Push Press (1x135, 1x155, 1x175, 1x195, 1x205).. NASTY PR
  • Bench (4x155, 4x185, 3x200)

21-15-9 reps of:
Hang Clean
Front Squat
Push Press

Did 21 cleans, 21 squats, 21 presses, 15 cleans, 15 squats, etc.

Finisher: Tabata Row.. forgot to check calories but I did get 2k in the 8:00

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

Went camping yesterday, active rest day, and got about 8 hours of sleep but i did wake up often throughout the night.

Run: 5k ... niiiiiiiiice.

yeah man... it seems like once i removed myself from friends who drank at every possible occasion (moved away from where i went to college), i really don't drink too much any more. glad to know some people check this thing.. i think the best part of the log is knowing other people check it as well.. thanks for the post bro.
