Jiu-Jitsu (nogi):

Next NAGA, I'm going to be a leglock machine. Serves them right for letting leglocks into beginners divisions.

Straight Ankle Lock -
Threading Legs Over/Under -
Ankle Lock to Toe Hold -
Heel Hook -
Reverse Heel Hook -

Rolling:

Rolled with Adrian (think that's his name), Mando, Adam, and Stuart. I got tapped by everybody except for Adam, who I tapped twice (got Adrian once too). Embarassing night to say the least. I wasn't gassed at any point, but I didn't feel like I had the explosiveness to use the technique that I had. Gotta keep working at nogi.

Early Morning GPP a la XTrainer:

3x Circuit:
20x squats
10x pullups
5x Burpee

Didn't take more than 5 minutes, just wanted to get the ****bolism up and running. I'm walking around at nearly 198 (194-195ish after jiu-jitsu) so I think it's time to start the early morning stuff and burning off more calories.

**To continue our recent anti-NAGA training routine, we are continuing to learn footlocks to destroy people at NAGA events where all leglocks are allowed in the beginner division of nogi.

Jiu-Jitsu (nogi):

All technique tonight. No Rolling. Which is, honestly, exactly what I wanted.

  • Cartwheel Pass -
  • Scarf to keylock -
  • Scarf straight armbar -

From straight armbar:
  1. step over head and pin
  2. kimura
  3. armbar
  4. triangle
  5. triangle armbar
  6. triangle kimura

  • Open Guard Kneebar -
  • Spinning Toe Hold -
  • Spinning Toe Hold to Kneebar -
  • Anti-myguardpass Triangle -

I weighed 190 when I got home from jiu-jitsu tonight. What the hell.

GPP / Certifiable Insanity:

3x CrossFit's 'Clean/Pullup':
10 Dumbell Clean / Press
1 Pullup
9 Dumbell Clean / Press
2 Pullup
8 Dumbell Clean / Press
3 Pullup
7 Dumbell Clean / Press
4 Pullup
6 Dumbell Clean / Press
5 Pullup
5 Dumbell Clean / Press
6 Pullup
4 Dumbell Clean / Press
7 Pullup
3 Dumbell Clean / Press
8 Pullup
2 Dumbell Clean / Press
9 Pullup
1 Dumbell Clean / Press
10 Pullup

Nice GPP for today with 40lb. DBs for clean/press and, despite what I put earlier, I had to do the pullups with just BW. Total of 60 clean/press and 60 pullups. Rough workout... all 25 minutes worth.

What will hence be known as one of the worst decisions ever, I ate a huge bowl of oatmeal with banana and peanut butter with a gigantic glass of milk about 50 minutes before i left for class.... I was moving half speed the entire time.

Jiu-Jitsu (nogi):

Kneebar - same kneebar as before

Rolling:

Rolled with Stuart, Mike, and a guy who trains with Lloyd Irvin in Virgiana (who beasted on me). I really need to start working on a gameplan. I keep rolling to me knees when my guard is passed, but never do anything with it. I'm just trading one bad spot for another and never trying to improve my position.
