DOMS from the lower body ME are terrible. gotta find some way to reduce these.
Rolling:
No technique today, just wrestling. Only managed to make it through 4x3min. rounds before my neck started really killing me. Then I just sat around and talked to people for a while. I really should've wrestled longer and I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I usually have a bad night like this at least once a month.

Jiu-Jitsu (gi)
Guard Pass - roll up lapel and grab it with one hand, control opponent's sleeve with the other hand. pop up on both legs in a staggered stance. let go of lapel and grab both hands to control sleeve. posture up HARD to break guard and then under hook leg and grab the lapel. shrug leg off shoulder HARD to pass.
Sweep - push/pull sweep holding sleeve and ankle and pushing on hip. Remember to come up with knee in the middle ready to pass and then dive for the underhook.
Rolling
Rolled with some purple and blue belts and felt pretty good. MUCH better than yesterday and all the pain in my neck is gone.

good deal. it'll start being a lot more centered around conditioning as I'm about 5 weeks out from my next tournament. I weighed in at 210 after practice last night so I need to lose around 10lbs. in order to be good to go. Should be really easy as I bet a lot of what I'm carrying is water weight.
also, today is mah birfday.. so..

Jiu-Jitsu (nogi)
Attacking the turtle:
Anaconda - remember to get a 2-on-1 and yank their arm out before locking it up. Also focus on sucking them up into the choke rather than forcing it onto them.
Armbar - isolate the far side arm, yank it up and out and then hold down face and step over the head first. Most important step is lifting their arm to up to you, not falling down onto it sloppily.
Rolling
Wrestled with Bill from standing. Nice to be able to work some standup. I really gotta work on jumping guard and then being active right away for sweeps. My top game is good enough that I can do great once we're on the ground, but my takedowns are quite lackluster. Felt great today.

Rolling
Rolled with a bunch of different belt levels and different people and felt good overall. I really need to focus on my conditioning and getting the weight back down. I have about 15-20 to lose before NAGA. I bet about 5-6 of it will come off when I stop taking in massive amounts of carbohydrates like I have been. Looks like its back to the meat, fruit, and veggie diet for this final month.
