Korean Log

Most Recent Updates Will Be Marked With An Asterisk[*]

Currently:
185~195 lbs
Birth - 02/26/86
University Student
100% Korean
Judo 4 x wk @ 2hrs a day
I get about 1 good session of lifting a week with a few smaller ones after judo.
I lift for powerlifting numbers and not necessarily for sport improvement.
Powerlifting isnt for Judo, (although judo has time priority right now) it stands on its own.

JUDO:
2008 WA State Judo Championships 3rd Place (1/25/08)
2008 Pacific International Senior Invitational Judo Tournament 2nd Place (2/16/08)
2008 Sakuma Invitational 1st Place (4/26/08)
2008 Seattle Dojo Annual Judo Tournament 3rd Place (5/17/08)
*2008 Budokan Annual Tournament 1st Place (5/24/08)

During summer, my priority will shift to 50/50 Judo/Powerlifting, but for now:

BENCH PRESS:
275x1

SQUAT:
295x1 (working on it)

DEADLIFT:
405x1

welcome!

how are you loading up when you do decline db's?

i would either hold them to my chest and sit back down.

or find someone to hand them to you while you are already down.

Just sit down witht he dumbells on the knees. Than kind of jerk them up into position with the knees. It's not as bad as it sounds.

9-10.20PM

(A bit softer today, ran on 3 hours of sleep)

Deadlift
135x5
225x5
295x5
315x5
365x3

Barbell Bent Over Row
115x8
135x8
135x8
135x8

Dumbell Bent Over Row
80'sx6
90'sx6
100'sx6

Pullups
20

For the Decline Dumbell Press, I
1. Put the weight on the part that holds the legs
2. Put my legs in
3. Slide the weights unto my legs and fall back

I think that the Chest workout is that only one where you really do benefit from a workout partner...

Keep up the hard work.

Side note... I have a buddy back home who's from Korea... He's about 5'6, 120lbs. I usta lift with him occasionally, but since I got serious about liftin', I can't hardly stand to now...
