This time it's real. I WILL fill out this log.

Age: 17
Height: 6 foot
Weight: 190

Goals: I am trying to get into good shape. Though this goal is vague, I would love to get to around 10% bodyfat. As for my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I would let to get a blue-belt by July. That will be about a year from when I originally started to train.

My Schedule:
Monday: BJJ 7-9
Tuesday: BJJ 7-9
Wednesday: BJJ 7-8:15
Thursday: BJJ 6-8
Friday: Rest
Saturday: BJJ 12-2
Sunday: Rest

Each day, I will try to incooperate another workout sometime in the day to add to my physical development. The workouts will primarily be bodyweight exercises and cardio based. Burpees, skipping rope, pushups, bodyweight squats, etc will all be involved. I plan on making these workouts regular and about 30 minutes in length. If I choose to lift one day a week after school, I would deadlift, squat or bench, alternating each week. These workouts have no real schedule.

Unfotunatley, with school, my schedule is subject to change. I plan on resting on Sundays but I have basketball games on Sundays. Two games, in fact. Friday will be my best bet.

Eat healthy. I know what to eat, I just eat to much of it. No refined sugar, no white breads, fewer carbs at night, lots of protein, six meals a day, more calories out than in. Do NOT get lax on the diet. Once or so a week, I plan on eating something relativly unhealthy, for instance, a Jamba Juice or going out to get some sushi. Avoid going crazy on these cheat meals.

As for supplementation, I will have the nesscesary whey protein post workout with a simple carb. I do have Muscle Milk that I use sometimes as my postworkout supplement and substitute it for the following meal. On nights in jiu jitsu that I wear a gi and intend to wrestle a lot, I will bring some Accelerade along for hydration purposes.

I want to improve my cardio, flexibility, strength and appearance. I have the knowledge nesscesary, now, I just have to apply it.

I am heading to Hawaii in June. I need to lose some fat.

Diet
My diet today is good so far

Meal 1-
2 english muffins with light butter, some turkey

Meal 2-
Protein plus bar

Meal 3-
2 PBJ sammich, small apple, small orange

Meal 4-
cauli soup, some chicken, some triscuits

Meal 5-
2 Enchiladas (2 whole wheat tortillas, cheese, chicken)
2 cucumbers

Meal 6-
1/2 cup cottage cheese
Dannon Light N Fight yougurt
Diet Rockstar (need to cut these out)

Post School workout (4:00ish)

100 burpees (5 min, 46 seconds)

Pyramid pushups (1-10), got to 9 on the way back down and failed (need more rest between, 10 seconds is short)

50 medicine ball squats (sumo style) (about 30lb med ball)
-at 30squats, do 5 med ball pushups on each side

20 pushups with feet on benchpress

10 med ball squats holding like chest pass in basketball (down to micro)

2 min skip rope (I was shot by here)

Notes: I did 2 minute break between each excersize. I need more than 10 seconds between pushup sets, maybe 20 seconds. Do skip rope at begining of workout (get 3x2min rounds).

Night workout

Jiu Jitsu from 7-9. I got a pretty good sweat on and was breathing hard for the last 15 minutes of rolling.

Workouts
Resting today. My calf/hamsrings have been feeling very tight. I'm taking today off and getting back in there tommorow.

Notes: I could have gone without the ice cream, but it tasted good and was my day off. I don't feel too guilty. I need to go and pick up some more supplements. I'm running low on the protein powder and I'm looking for a recovery drink possibly for during/after workouts.

Crazy hard jits night. 2 hours of rolling. I drank almost a gallon of water while training.

Notes Eating good. Good post school workout. Only took about 20 minutes, got a nice sweat going. School has slowed down a bit so now I'm in workout mode. I feel strong...listening to GZA helps.

Post school workout
Today, I went swimming. I swam the legnth of the pool 30 times (I did more like 36 or something becuase I lost count so did a few extra at the end). I would swim there and back and take a 30 second breather. I am now going to swim at least once, if not twice, a week. Great workout.

Notes
: I ate too much at my 3rd meal. I'm going to workout right now...gotta make up for it. I got some Accelerade and some Pro Performace Protein. As I have been wearing the gi alot in my BJJ training and rolling for upwards of 2 hours a night, I lose far too much water. I hope the Accelerade will help with the recovery/hydration process.

Notes: Jesus, did I eat too much for my fifth meal. I was helping a buddy move and we got some pizza and a jamba juice after. Man, I feel like crap now and tommorow is Easter, so I will eat chocolate...damn. Monday I workout and eat right again.
