Lazy guy's log (strenght,bjj,sleeping) - comments welcome
Im starting with ... starting strenght, so yeah, Im really weak, but trying to get stronger. Im also a stupid bjj whitebelt, that is pretty good when doing specific training and when drilling techniques, when Im sparring though my brain just turns off and I cant improvise or actually plan/think what the right thing to do is - getting better at bjj is another goal. I also have problems with sleeping - I often dont sleep enough, especially because I let things like studying etc to be the last ones to do, or I end up staring into my pc at 3am - Im gonna work hard on avoiding these problems. By the way Im foreign, just to explain the often retarded way I write xD.
Body weight 185pounds
Height 6feet
Age 17 years
26.9 - had 8 hours of sleep (25.9. - 26.9.)
zercher squat 154
bench 136
deadlift 176
27.9 - had 8 hours of sleep
28.9 - had 11 hours of sleep
zercher squat 165
press 100
powerclean 132 - really need to shoot the elbows under the bar when Im finishing the lift, because often I first hold it incorrectly then after like a second I get it into proper position.
bjj - was really hard, sparred a lot - 7 four minute rounds with 20 seconds rests... Im trying to master achieving a high guard and doing an armbar from there, potentially going to a sweep if the guy defends. Also tryed to really use my brain and to remember not to do the same mistakes again.

Counting hours and trying too hard to sleep more only makes me more nervous, after which I sleep less, so Ill stop with the sleeping part.
1.10
zercher squat 176
bench 143
deadlift 191
Btw the numbers are strange because I have to convert it to pounds from kg.

I don't think sleep is an issue based on what you've posted...that's more than I ever get.
Welcome to the logs.

felt weak and after thinking about it, I thought that adding so much on squat last time was stupid, so I didnt add today.
zercher squat 200
bench press 150
deadlift 215
deadlift felt really, really easy - almost as if I could lift atleast 230 pounds x5. However Ive noticed that my grip is starting to give up, Ill have to start training it.

Damn... Today Im really tired after training for some reason. I had very little time to rest between the powerclean sets, only like like 1-2 minutes between sets (or atleast very little time to rest for me), so that kinda finished me off.
zercher squat 210x5 3sets
press 110x5 3 sets - I thought I would add, but I wasnt able to do 5 with 115, so I just stayed at 110
power clean 160x3 5 sets - fucked up 2nd repetition in 1st set, tryed again immedietly and it was fine, I just didnt "throw" the bar high enough the time I failed.
Technique is getting much better, Im concentrating on pushing my ass up first on squats, and also pushing on the heels, today the squats felt like nothing, atleast compared to the power cleans.
I feel like I might be getting stuck on the overhead press though, I didnt even add weight and yet I was still struggling with last rep in all sets.

Fuck... today was horrible, I blame yesterdays cheap wine. Didnt have enough time, but I thought I would atleast do my squats.
zercher squat 100kg/220 pounds x5, 3 sets.
I was really terrible, knees were going out infront of me a lot, whenever I was low, the weight kept rolling on my forearms and I was doing a strange thing - I couldnt stop at parallel, I dont know why, but stopping parallel felt so hard on my legs, that I just went down completely, to the point where I could barely go any lower, the bar and elbows resting on my thighs. For some reason it just felt easier to squat from here, or maybe it wasnt easier, but I just couldnt stop at parallel, I tryed to, but I didnt have enough strenght to squat it from there...
Fucking zercher squats are really getting on my nerves, I think Ill finish the first month of starting strenght and start going to a gym with a squat rack. And Im definitely taking some towels with me next time (I didnt want to be a pussy and have towels for doing zercher squats, especially when I only squat 100kg, but my forearms just hurt too much).
Today also made me realise how much fun the powerclean is - because last training was 100x better. Is there an olympic lifting program for beginners, and if there is, when could I start doing it? Or is doing a olympic lifting routine on your own a bad idea? Thing is I just really like doing powercleans, so much fun compared to all the other stuff. Also, my countrys weight lifting team is only about 50minutes away, so maybe I could go there some time.
Forgot to add Ill do some pullups and pushups at home (since I didnt bench or deadlift).
