  • 235x5
  • 205x5
  • 205x5

Overhead Squats -
  • 95x5
  • 115x5
  • 115x5
  • 135x5

Dips -
  • BWx5
  • BWx5

90sec-120sec rest in between sets.

Thoughts
K, don't laugh at my squat numbers. I hurt my back 2-3 years back doing squats and I've shied from them ever since. I'm tired of whining though so I'm back to them. Today was a form day. I was actually surprised by how fluid the weight felt during my squats. I know a few of my squats weren't low enough though, so form is important right now. I have to 're-find' that moment when you know you're low enough. Still working on form for OHS but improving a lot. Does anyone tend to lose their balance with these sometime when they come up?

you're OHS are nice. nobody can just pick up the weights and do that. good job.

edit:

make sure you have your head up and back and your arms are behind your head. small arch but squeeze your glutes really hard as well. should help you with OHS

Anyways, thanks - I'm still getting used to do those. My MAIN problem with OHS is getting it up properly. I push press it up, but I find sliding my hands out wide makes me feel like I'm going to drop the damn barbell on my head. I can't afford for my head to get any bigger than it is.

Last Night I hit up my MMA class.

Missed warm-up due to a class running late.

Basically Thai Pad work for bout an hour.

Just thought I'd put down my thoughts for this. Tomorrow, hitting the gym after class. I am gonna put up PRs on both Push Press and Deadlift.

Monday

Weights - I am a MONSTER!!!!

Deadlifts -
  • 135x5
  • 225x5
  • 275x5
  • 345x5 (PR!)
  • 365x3 (PR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Push Press -
  • 95x5
  • 155x5 (PR!)
  • 165x5 (PR!!!!!!!!!!)

Thoughts
Yesterday, I was psyched to hit the gym. Today - nothing. I got 4 hours sleep. I was tired, weak, hungry, achy. Everything said don't go to the gym. Went to the gym anyways and decided to kick ass today regardless of my back injury. 50lb PR on deadlifts. 20lb PR on Push Press. I would've done a longer workout and maybe got 175 on Push Press but my shoulder was twinging something awful. It's fine now, but didn't feel too good then. ANYWAYS PRS GALORE, IM PSYCHED, IM EXCITED - HELL YEAH!!!

Damn, my workout times have gotten thrashed this week. I was supposed to lift yesterday and early today but lots of shit popping up. I'm going to the gym tonight after - class - It's going to be insanely crowded. I'm going to walk in and see if the squat rack is open. If It's not, I'm gone. So hope for me.

I just noticed a few hours later I got such a dull ache in my shoulder that I could barely use it. I dealt with it for a few months..then eventually got the whole MRI/Doc thing going. Did Physical Therapy for a while, it kept hurting etc.. Couldn't afford it too long, had poor insurance at $45 a session.

However, since I hit the gym back again this summer the pain has gone away. So I'm stoked about that.

Getting back in to everything is sucking. I'm doing real squats for the first time in years tomorrow. Wish me luck. It's time to quit whining about old injuries and move past them.
I once tore mine taking off a sweaty shirt.

Rotator cuffs are tricky bastards.
