JAN 25 2007. 2 PMish. 192 LB.

Warmed up with some overhead squats with the bar. Still awkward.

SQUATS:
Warmup:
135x5
205x5.
Work:
265x5 (new PR)
265x5
265x4-got to the bottom, couldn't move, set it down.
255x5
255x4-no good excuse

Did a bunch of stretches while staring at the asses of stretching girls.

LUNGES:
155x10-decent form
155x10-medium form
145x10-not so decent form

Did more stretching.

"Farmer's walk"
Carried the 120 lb dumbells to the other side of the gym, put them down, waited a bit, then made it all the way back to the rack. I got up some pretty good speed. I'm gonna try timing myself now.

Looks like I have my work cut out for me in the squat department.

JAN 28 1007. 3 PM. 193 LB.

Deadlift day, I wanted to find an appropriate weight because I zoomed through the last two. Turns out I was pretty close

Warmup:
135x5
225x5
225x5
Work:
315x5
325x5
335x3 New PR, but couldn't get #4 to budge.
315x3 Couldn't get it off the ground again
275 x5

Did some stretching. Calluses pretty sore right now, one looks inflamed.

BOR:
155x10x3. Gonna move it up to 165 next week.

More stretching.

Pullups
11 at BW.
At this point my callus started bleeding, and it hurt to continue, and I was pooped. I kind of tried some stuff and then went home. I really need to do something about those calluses.

TUES JAN 30. 10 PM. 192 LB.

Awesome workout.

BENCH PRESS
Warmup:
Barx10
135x6x2
Work:
195x5
200x5
205x4.5 Probably had the strength to to do it but screwed up a bit on the technique. Got helped out of the stick (about halfway up) and locked out.
205x3-Fourth rep failed about 25% up.
195x5

Stretching. Deciding to switch around the order of military press and incline bench. The helped with the OHP A LOT

MILITARY PRESS.
95x6
95x5-Stuck just above hairline.
95x6-Got it over my head but had to extend my toes a bit to lock out.

INCLINE BENCH-The tiredness that usually owned me on OHP now struck me at this.
125x6
115x6
115x4
Weak

Did some pinch work, noticed improvement. Went over 30 seconds with each hand pinching 10 lb plates together.

Dips-7, 4 at BW

Next week gonna start the benching at 205 and ramp up the OHP a bit.

FEB 1 2007. 2 PM. 190 LB.

SQUATS
Warmup:
135x6, 205x4, 205x3.
Work:
5x5 at 265. Went smooothly. Moving up to 275 next week.

Lots of stretching.

LUNGES
Divided up the legs, doing 5 each consecutively. This worked a lot better.
3x5 at 155 each leg. Moving up to 165 next week.

More stretching.

Dumbbell farmer's walk: Took the 120 lbers accross the gym, did a turn and started walking back. The right grip gave out halfway back so I took a breather and finished the course. I think my right hand is weaker now because I use the gripper with the left more often because the right hand is using the mouse.

Shitty, shitty workout.

Used the bumper plates on the olympic platform (I think that's what it was, kind of a 1 inch high padded area). I had three 20 kilogrammers on each side plus a five pounder, so about 318 lb total.

Did 5, 5, 3, then took the fivers off and managed to do one. I'm not sure what's wrong.

After this I noticed my callous was hanging off, so I found a first aid kit and cut off the skin before it tore itself off. I did some other lifts but nothing worth posting.

FEB 6 2007. 10 PM. 193 LB.

BENCH PRESS:
Warmup: Barx10-15, 135x6, 135x6
205x5
205x4 Pushed through the sticking point halfway up and decided not to be greedy
205x3 Stuck right at bottom. I should start doing pause benches or something.
185x5
185x5 The grunt on the last rep sounded pretty gay.

Stretching/watching the BJJ class next door.

OHP
Warmup: Bar x whatever
95x6
100x6
105x3+1push.
New personal records, although my overhead is still sad.

INCLINE BENCH
125x6
125x6
125x4

Decided to reduce the volume on the incline because it's the third lift now.

Did some pinching. I think I can almost lift two 25's, but not quite. Did over 30 seconds each on the 10's.

Went and tried body planking, it hurts like hell. Pussed out after 50ish seconds.

Although I wasn't as strong as I hoped I would be, it was overall a good workout.

FEB 8 2007. 2:45 PM. 193 LB.

SQUATS:
Warmup: Barx8, 135x6, 225x4, 225x3
275x5. New PR. Felt really good, much easier than 265 did. I was even explosive on the first few.
275x5
275x5. Got a random to check if I was going past parallel. I was.
275x5
275x3 Failed on the way down on the fourth.

Stretching.

LUNGES:
3x5@175 on each leg. Not as low as I would have liked on some.

Stretching.

FRONT SQUAT.
Stopped being a pussy and actually tried doing these. Used what I think it called a "Clean grip."
3x5@95. Not going for weight, just getting used to the form.
Felt pretty good, although my wrists and fingers aren't used to bending like that, but that should change soon.

Didn't do farmer's walk to give my hand a break, so it's not all bloody for deadlift day.

Overall an awesome workout. Going to put FS as my second excercise and move lunges to the end.

Limped home on my jello legs.
