Sunday 31st Aug - Grip Session
Left Hand CoC1.5
5*3
Right Hand CoC2
5*3
Cool downs 3*Failure on the CoCTrainer
Right is getting closer again, should get it next week I'd think. Left hand is stalling a bet its kinda lame. Maybe it is not recovering enough, ice maybe. Or take a week or two off the left hand perhaps. Though it still gets worked in the gym, so dunno.
Wrist Roller
Foreward
3*18.5kg
2*18.5kg
2*18.5kg (hand slipping due to sweat, doesnt even help when I wipe my hands dry)
2*18.5kg
Backward
4*18.5kg
3*18.5kg
3*18.5kg
3*18.5kg
LMAO 2 seconds after i got the last rep the rope snapped. hahahaha.
the weights fell and just missed my foot, thankfully.
Here is what it looked like before it broke, ideas for what I can put on the pipe so it doesnt slip when hands are sweaty? or ideas in general?

Knee got infected, healed up, got infected again so I have been on 2 courses of antibiotics the last 2 weeks and done nothing but go to classes. Got another course or 2 of antibiotics and hopefully it clears up.
Decided to go lift today, don't like not lifting for 2 weeks as is. Probably shouldnt have, felt like monkey ass. I got some videos of my squat/BOR so i will upload those tonight and get some form help hopefully.
Want to feel better by Wednesday so I can lift without feeling like shit.
Squat
2*5*bar
3*42.5kg
3*72.5kg
5*5*92.5kg
One set was absolutely shockers and definetely some rounding. I think I corrected it. I believe i recorded set 1, 3 and 5 @ 92.5kg so, will post those.
Bench Deload final day, next session will be progressive loading back up and hopefully I can break my plateau at 75kg when I get back there.
2*5*Bar
3*40kg
3*5*60kg - worked on where I want my hands for better drive, feel like I have got it for now, but obviously it will feel differently when I have more weight on there. See how it goes friday.
BOR
5*5*82.5kg
got a few vids, one set was bad think I managed to correct well on the next though.
Dips
5*25kg
5*25kg
4*25kg
4*25kg
4*25kg
Really do NOT enjoy 5x5 dips. Any alternatives? maybe just some bodyweight sets. Dunno?
Will try post videos soonish.

1. enjoy the sprawls.
2. squats look great, but be carful about dropping so fast on the negative part of the lift. by moving slower and more controlled, you'll find your gains will increase. the same goes for the rows.
3. i'd avocate two sets for max reps (maybe failure, maybe not, but certainly trying to PR each time) on the dips at the end of the workout.

SPRAWLs rock. Always pretty much workout in them, good indication of MMA fans when they come up and talk to you in the gym and know SPRAWL.
I think I will do the dips as you suggest, just BW max reps. and see how that goes. Even when I am not sick by the end of the 5x5 dips I want to kill everybody in the gym. Not enjoyable at all.
Monday Sep 22nd
Still hungover from friday night, well, not hungover but feeling the effects of vommitting all saturday morning. It was my 21st, gotta go hard I guess. Still a bit sick from whatever flu/throat infection I have, its subsiding though, I didn't feel like absolute death after todays workout which was good, still feel weak though.
Squat
2*5*Bar
3*45kg
3*75kg
5*5*95kg
Felt good, one or two reps here and there were shockingly bad I admit. But even when feeling sick I can get through it, so I'm happy with that.
SOHP
I was failing on 52.5kg last time I Strict OHP last month, it's been a month since I could feel well enough to do anything so gave them a shot today.
2*5*Bar
3*35kg
3*55kg (not fucking realising I had 2.5kg on each side and not 1.25kg, F__KING moron foz...)
4*5*50kg
didn't feel that easy but I attribute that to feeling sick. Managed to get all them out fairly well, bar the last rep on last set. Worked on engaging my glutes, keeping the bar close to my face and pushing forward once I cleared it. Thank you Ripptoe and his videos.
May try get the full 5x5 on 50kg again on friday or just give 52.5kg a go if I feel healthy.
Deadlift
1*5*160kg
easy peesy. Managed to catch a guy on 160kg DL'ing so I didn't have to load up the bar, woot.
CHINS
1*9
1*5
1*4
Done for the day, now I am gonna go eat japanese pancakes with the japanese group at my Uni, woot.

sexytime.
I would actually like to train with kettleballs, never been able to find any gyms with them locally, and I don't have too much interest in buying them at this stage.
