5x <bw
5x <bw
5x +25

Since this is obviously full of fail, as you also noticed, I put just the add-on weight into the calc.

If you want to do 5/3/1 with it AND do a boring but big assistance for it (which I don't suggest) and can't do 5x10, just get 50 reps no matter how many sets it takes.
I'm just going to do the additional weight as well.

To me it makes sense, since you for example don't include bw into your squats 5/3/1 calculations.

Also, sod doing that much assistance work

Chins as an assistance lift? Bullcrap. Chins are the most important lift in the gym. Pull ups are a close second

Ian when I focus on my chins I found it had a higher carryover onto my pullups then when I just did pullups to be honest.

Odd eh.

I was going to do the 5/3/1 for pull ups. I might do chins as assistance work and maybe add in a weighted set then for chins.
