Smolov Week 2 Friday

Today I couldn't lift in the morning, I had to be at work at 7. This threw off my whole day including my workout because my energy and drive to lift was gone. Which led to a shit workout.

Squats were horrible today, I felt like I wasn't hitting depth, I was tired and I didn't even make it to the last set before failing and giving up.

Half Assed/Hearted attempts at pullups those = phail too

After a very uneventful night and 9 hours of good sleep I was able to turn in around and have a good session today.

In other news I was finally able to find the low bar placement. Problem is it makes it tough to hit depth inside a pre-fabed squat rack.

So I'm guessing you skipped the Intro cycle on Smolov? I'm on week one of that right now, just squatted for my third consecutive day and I'm definitely feeling it. Anyway, I think it was on stronglifts.com, I read that you shouldn't do OHP standing while doing Smolov, extra taxing on the core which is definitely not needed on Smolov. Also no BOR for the same reason. DB Rows while supporting yourself on a bench are recommended, instead. (I see you did both the other day.) Basically my understanding was that for additional lifts, do stuff like Bench, Seated OHP, DB Rows, Pull Ups, Dips, etc. Nothing more to tax the core, specifically the lower back.

I dropped smolov.. I wasn't able to move the weight the program wanted me too. My depth was getting higher and higher as the weight increased.

My log is out in my car and I'm to lazy to go get it but i tested out WS4SB this week. Monday was okay wednesday I got a good workout in at the Wrestling practice, thursday was ok (high reps are gay), and today saturday was utter shit. I'm not sure if this is just carry over from smolov's taxing of my body but I couldn't squat for shit today it was like 3 months ago. Putting up those same numbers.

I hope it was just a bad workout and I haven't pissed away this whole summer

I'm to lazy to go get my log out of my car.. Last wednesday I did some bench, SOHP, and the some Hang Cleans.

Thursday I jogged for about 20 minutes.

Friday I skipped squatting to go fishing. Bad decision I know.

I was feeling a little sore today in the low back and hams so I thought I'd do some easy conditioning. I said I'll shoot for 50 burpees as quick as I can.

I got 25 done in 2 minutes and I feel like I'm gonna die... I suck
