02-13-08 - morning

Still taking care of my wife and four kids, all who have the flu.

I did get in:

10 calf raises
10 squats - weighted - 20 pounds (which was my son)

What happened/is happening to your elbow?

I had an opportunity to get a free upright piano once from an old friend. I didn't get it because, aside from the lack of funds for moving it, I didn't want to be bothered trying to haul the damn thing wherever I move, especially living on the second floor of a complex, lol. Stairs and pianos do not mix.

My wife wants a piano, but every time I move one, I swear to never get one. They are a pain to move.

I have a nasty case of tendonitis in the right elbow. Sometime it gets so bad I cannot pick up a jug of milk. This make my training interesting, as I can usually push it and it just gets a tad sore, but if I do the wrong thing, like some 20 ab rollouts without a brace, I am out of action for a week.

Next time I do ab rollouts I will just do them once or twice a week and no more the 5-10 at a time.

(plus I have wrists which barely bend backwards, ha ha on me)

02-13-08 - night

Since my elbow is out of action and I was holding my son (20 lbs) I did all of the following workout while holding him.

10 squats
20 calf raises
10 lunges
10 v-ups
30 crunches
10 flutter kicks
10 leg raises

-plank for 30 sec. (I did put him down for this one)

I am still not there yet....

I asked my coach about two weeks ago and he said I still have some more work to do. (cardio and basic skills)

I want to spar because I want to find out:

a) can I take a punch?

b) how hard do I hit?

c) what do I need to do better at? (this is the most important one to me)

02-15-08

5 chins
10 squats
10 burps
10 v-ups
10 side-cruches (10 each side)

I can tell my elbow is a bit sore but I am doing OK with it.

I had to miss boxng again because the family is still too sick for me to leave.

So now I have two class to make up.
