Keeping this rather brief. I've started getting back in to lifting after a long layoff due to a rotator cuff I suffered in my right shoulder.
Well, I've started working my way back in to lifting after really getting serious about MMA training. I've been unable to attend my MMA classes over the summer but I'll be starting again in a week or two. I just wanted to go ahead and start this log since I started lifting again about a month ago. You'll notice fairly low weights in the squats area and probably a lack of pulls in the beginning. I sustained an injury during squats at one point and it pushed me away from them for a while (my fault of course, squats own). So I need to ease myself back in to some decent weights. I'm also working at incorporating a lot of new exercises I am more uncomfortable with, so those weights will be low. Here we go.
Anyways, my ultimate goal is training for competition in the ring/cage.
Current Stats -
Height - 5'10
Weight ' 242lbs(Down from 260lbs)
Age - 22
GOAL - Competitive Fight Weight of 205lbs!
20lbs comes from my facial hair.

Today was a lighter day as I've been feeling poor all day. I would generally have ended this workout with a 40 minute run but pretty bad downpours today prevented that.
The gym I am at now lacks an incline bench so I often use dumbbells. I will be at a better gym hopefully in a week. My routine is in a bit of transition.
SUNDAY
Dumbbell Incline Bench PressPush Press - First Time Doing Exercise- 135lbs - 1x5
- 150lbs - 3x5
- 135lbs - 1x5
Jump ShrugsWeighted Crunches5 Min Jump-Rope Cooldown

Cardio Work!!
Man, I was psyched about today's workout and then I got to the gym with only 45 mins left!
Intervals - - 20 sec sprint, 40 sec Jog x 5
Plyometrics - - Lateral Leaps x 3
- (3)Hurdle Jumps x 2
- (3)Lateral Hurdle Jumps x 2
- Box Jump(2.5ft) - x 1
- Box Jump(2.5ft) in to Depth Jump - x 1
Sprint Work - Circuit - Full Speed, No Rest - Jumprope - 100 turns
- 15m Sprints x 2
- Dumbbell Snatch - x 5(Each Arm)
- 15m Sprints x 2
- Turkish Get-ups - 25lbs x 5(Each Arm)
- 10 Burpees
Alright, I'm broken. I thought I'd do several rounds of the circuit but the gym closed on me. Anyways, tomorrow I'm hitting some deads/back and doing some bag work. First time doing Box Jumps, I enjoyed it.

That cardio session looks like it sucks camel peaches.
Oh, and people from Georgia are the smartest, strongest and most well-hung of all in the Union. True story.

I was just being PC about the whole "union" thing. We know what's up.
I live in Gainesville. It's about 55 miles N.E. of Atlanta in case you didn't know.
I haven't been to Savannah in years. It's a beautiful area. My wife has made mention of going down there sometime soon for some fun.

Thoughts
Man, I was psyched for squats today but my knee started hurting immediately. However, I wasn't about to ditch deadlifts, which is quickly becoming my favorite lift. Since my knee was hurting I didn't experiment too much with new weights, but I think I might be able to go up about 20lbs for next week. Back work ended kind of early. My broken finger makes hanging a bitch, same with BOR's. Doctor said not worry bout it, but damn if it hasn't hurt for a good month now. Good lesson, never buy Everlast Gloves. Tomorrow is more cardio hopefully.
