I did a thread with about a completely play by play back in April if you wanna look for it. For my first fight, against a guy 20lbs heavier in his 5th fight, I didn't do too bad. Kept him from doin' any real damage the first round. Threw a couple knees at him when he shot and was able to get full guard and tried to go for a kimura or armbar from guard. Second round, he was gassed at the start, but I was too leary of takedowns (and couldn't see to tell w/o my contacts in) to capitalize. He took me down and I ate a lotta elbows with him in full mount b4 I tapped out. I think I almost made it to the end of the round, but the ref was right there and I think he was about to step in if I hadn't tapped.

I also added a bit to my previous post.

No, I've not really thought about laser surgery. My eyes have really stabilized (same contact prescription for like 3 years), so it might be worth it to look into... Altho I heard it's expensive as crap...
From what I saw in your log, I think on average our numbers are pretty close, altho you have a decent lead on me in BW. But yeah, always good to measure against someone else. Gives an extra incentive.

Finally made a church vid today. Took some vids of workin' sets Thursday, plus one of my shoot and rack sets from a while back for good measure, to make the compilation.

Ok. Today was deadlift day. Warmed up on the rowin' machine as usual, although at a little faster pace... Decided I need to start doin' hill sprints at least once a week...

Deadlifts
- zercher
135x5
185x5
- DOH
265x5 - did a set of shrugs before settin' the bar down
295x5
315x5
- mixed grip
335x5
355x5

I've known for awhile that the big thing holdin' my deadlift back was always usin' a DOH grip, and wanted to keep workin' on that, but I decided recently to go ahead and start doin' mixed anyways. Buyin' chalk will be next

Push Press
135x5
225x0 (4 attempts and couldn't get it up... Need more Viagra, apparently; lack the lockout)
185x4
185x3

Pull-ups
BWx5
+55x3
+30x5
+30x4

Did some waiter walks. I figure the route I travel is about 30 yards, give or take a little. Actually started by waiter walkin' the 55lber to do pull-ups and then back, switchin' arms, so I only got ~15 yards on it. Also did the full route, each arm, with a 65 and a 75.

Threw a couple sets of chins and dips in for good measure. First set at BW, 2nd at +30, 5 reps both times. Last rep on the dip ended with a negative.

Did 2 sets of wood choppers, (I consider a set to the left, and then to the right, same weigh, same # reps). I dont know what poundage the number on the stack denotes... #s are 1-15
8x15
10x15

5 min on elliptical to cool down

Stretches and bridges. Was happy today that I was able to hold a bridge pretty close to the top of my head with 2 plates on my midsection for about a 40 count, breathin' slow. Couldn't hold bridge on the back of my head for very long tho, so I dropped 1 plate to do that.

Ok. Just got done w today's liftin', and I'm frickin' drained. I dunno why my legs are so sore, unless it's still from deads and bridges on Monday, but they are shot. Literally. After squats, I was gonna do some farmer's walks but decided against it.

Warm-up - 5 minutes rowin' machine

Bench -
165x5
225x3
255x1 (easy, so I added more weight)
265x1 (didn't have in me for another after this one)
235x2
235x2
235x2

BORS - was stricter on my form this time, tryin' harder to stay parallel to the ground
165x5
195x5
215x5
225x5
225x5

High Pulls -
195x5
195x5
195x5

Front Squat - First time tryin' it. Just wanted to get the blood flowin' my legs some more. I think I may try to add it in more regularly, tho.
135x5

Z-squats - Same as fronts, except I didn't like it as well. I like z-deads, but not squats
135x5

Squats -
205x5
225x5
245x3
265x2
225x1

I dunno what it was, but as I said, my legs were crap today. I was able to do the 265 by tellin' myself that I couldn't get away benchin' more than I squatted, but once I hit that, there was nothin' in the tank. Only managed 3 minutes on the elliptical at an easy pace for cool down and couldn't hold a bridge while stretchin'...

If I didn't see video evidence of this, I would have thought you were kidding. Nice lifting.
