Thanks Zero, and ya C. Beeb I don't have a spotter or a power rack, so I get a little intimidated going for squat PR's man, it kinda sucks. I'm probably not gonna max out again until I can hit 235(current PR) for 3 reps or so

03/14/08 - Squats

preworkout:
~2 grams of beta-alanine in juice

postworkout:
~2 grams of BA + 1 scoop of whey in 8 oz of milk

*Today was my first day taking beta-alanine and that shit's pretty cool. I didn't notice any strength improvements really but felt itchy as fuck all over my body for a while, but it was all good. I did notice better endurance though, and I didn't feel like I needed as much rest between sets, idk

nice lifting.

BA helps mostly with endurance....esp recovering from endurance/conditioning based workouts....big diff...the tingles should go away within a week...

Okay, I talked to hunto and LPF4 -- you're welcome to join the SOHP race to 155 lbs.

Here are the details --

It's SOHP, but you don't have to clean the weight first -- you can take the bar off the hooks if you want. Only one rep is required for you, me and hunto. LPF4 has to do 1 set of 5 reps, but that's only because he always does sets of 5.

Current maxes are 135 for hunto and I, 140 for LPF4. hunto just did a 5 x 5 at 130, so I expect he's capable of a bigger 1 rep max. He also got 155 about halfway up recently.

No video is required. We haven't discussed a lot of form details. Though since it's SOHP, you can't use leg drive.

As soon as someone hits 155, the others get a humiliating sig from zop, which they have to keep for 30 days. The sig hasn't been revealed yet -- for that matter, I'm not sure if zop has written it.

We didn't talk about any "hit it and quit it" option, ie. being able to ditch the sig in less than 30 days if you reach 155 during that time. So I'm assuming all the losers will have the sig for the full duraiton.

With all of that in mind, you're welcome to join the race. But I do think it's pretty likely hunto will hit 155 in the next week or so. Just a friendly word of warning.
