Thx to the Detroit crew.
Yesterday was the first day I was stable on my legs again.
So today it was time TO STRIKE BACK!

- DL 2x3x130/3x3x135kg [Although I didnt have any probs with grip at all I tried the mixed grip - much better groove]

- BP 7x80/3x92,5/7x82,5/3x92,5/7x85/3x95kg [The last set with 95kg the weight just flew up]

- BOrow 3x8x90kg [2min rest between sets]

- Standing ab pull downs 10x[8]/ 8x[9]/8x[9]1/2

I upped the pace very much. Or density how the geeks would call it. After the session my brohter invited me to Burger King. Hadnt eaten any junk for weeks. I ate a double whopper with cheese and a big King. I feel great. My plan for the pullup competition is set.
Its just amazing how close hell and heaven can be. My body will need some more weeks to recover from the bloodloss. But the forced days off did my body well.

This sounds oddly familiar. Have you and Tayon been sharing diet tips in private?

This is psycholigical warfare. Yesterday - feeling really good. Today - bleeding, feeling like shit, nagging, burning ingestial pain all day. This drives me mad. Good - bad - good - bad... And by good I mean not really perfect but ok and by bad I mean "a few days like that in a row and Im ready for hospital". The ups and downs get closer and more extrem.
Well, at least I have some ups now. But I would really like to know what is goin on in my colon. From what I feel it inflames and heals up, inflames and heals up in very short timeframes at the moment. Would like to know what makes it heal. and what inflames it again. There seems to be no logic behind it. I tried everything. But the UC just goes up and down no matter what I do, dont do, eat, dont eat and so on. Theres nothing good or bad I can do. WHAAAAAA! Thats too much for a pragmatic, logicloving person.
Will try another antibiotic if it isnt any better until monday (then I will get it).
But no matter what. On sunday I want to Powerclean, squat and dip!
Riding the rollercoaster with closed eyes...

Im sure about that as well. Just in order to get kicked down again. Sooner or later you stop standing up and just lay on the ground. Its like building sandcastles on the beach. After the 1000000th high tide you will stop rebuilding.

- Squats 5x100/5x102,5/3x5x105

- Dips 10x15/2x10x20/3x40kg supersetted with Curls 3x10x30

- Highpull practice [the groove is getting better]

- Abs

- Tabata burpees [didnt make al 8 sets. My legs just gave out on the jumps.]

Again high density. Tuesday Pullups and OHP. UC kicks my ass at the moment but its just on the border.

What kind of fighting training have you done? I know you say you grapple occasionally - were you formally trained?

We do it Rich Frnaklin style. Some guys, some instructional videos... I know that this will only take us that far but its fun and better than nothing. I guess that in grappling its not as bad as in stand up to go without proper instruction. One of the guys does Sambo (but more this self defense oriented) and the other Judo. So theres also influence from there.
I guess before you go to the finetuning in grappling basic things like keeping guard, staying in full mount etc. just need lots of practice. Also the basic submissions, as simple as they look sometimes, need to be done over and over again in order to get them in tight.
Cause what is it good for to know the fnciest way to pull put an armbar from sidemount when the armbar is shit.
Thoughts?

I train BJJ in Japanese so I can relate to the "do what you can" mentality. I can pretty much understand what's going on now but I've no idea how I got through the first few years.

Keep things simple.
Drill your escapes.
Balance & positioning.
Break the positions/techniques down into details.
Have fun!

There's a lot of good stuff in the grappling forum as you no doubt know. I have to say, though, that rolling against guys more skillful than you is the best way to improve.
