Wanted to say hi. I just found your log today. I plan on reading it through as soon as I get a chance. I have had UC for about 6 years now. The few pages Ive read so far are very inspiring.

@edco: Definatelly keep reading to the end as the things going on somewhere in the middle might scare you as you have the same disease.

@Devilsson: A 500lbs+ DL would be great. I guess I am good for a 3/4/5 total in the next 12-18 months.

Love your first post. I have been seeing a gastro doctor for almost a year now. I am also diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Luckily I haven't had as sever of symptoms as you but I know the pain and effects of ulcers bleeding. Keep up the hardwork and checkout my training log sometime.

I'm quite irritated how many posters on sherdog suffer this shit.

You're probably getting a somewhat skewed impression: everyone who trains and has UC (or some related illness) is going to come across this log sooner or later. I'd be very surprised if there is somehow a higher incidence rate of UC among Sherdoggers than in the general population.

You can blame Graedy for them all posting here, though. If he didn't get hit with it so badly, or fight through it so hard, he wouldn't be nearly so inspirational to everyone else struggling with illness.

Good luck. As I said many times before: Most of the people with UC can live quite good with it with light medication. Some need stronger ones like immunsupression.
Very strong UC like in my case are very rare. I am more like the asthma patient who got such a bad asthma that he needs constant O2-supply. And just because you got diagnosed with asthma you shouldn'T really worry about needing constant O2 supply.
What do I wanna say with this analogy: Don'T freak out when reading this log.
And as you see now there is even a possibilty for a happy ending for the very bad cases.
Will check out your log.

@ Vla: UC is the new black. While you still worry about the high risk of coloncancer I have mine removed already.

@ Stoney: Some of the guys posting here are probably guys who have found my log with google. But some have quite a lot of posts on the dog. It is just that sherdog has so many memebers that statisctcally there must be some UC patients among them.

- CHINS 6x25kg [easy]

- BP 3x100kg/2x105kg/1x110/3x105/2x110/1x115/1x120kg [264lbs, paused, +5kg post surgery PR, 10kg of my alltime PR, BB bench will be out for a while now, wanna focus on different things, when it gets back in I need some boards to do boardspresses as my lockout is by far my weakpoint.]

- Pullups 15/10/4 [huge dropof like usual when doing relativelly high reps]

- Pulldowns 1 set

- Pushdowns 1 set

- Obliques 1 set

Session took forever. Talked a lot with Vla which was nice. Good to train with him again.
Went home. Wanted to eat something. But teh foodsupplier aka teh mum was on vacation too - no food.
BAck to the rowing club. Helping out with the preperations for the CII challenge tomorrow.
then:

- Grappling with Vla

Was lots of fun. Dude is fucking strong and stocky.

Vacation was great. Not much more to say. First vacation in years.

Right adductor still hurts like shit from time to time.
there is no way arround seeing a doctor for this.
But whatever... Life goes on.

10x60 strict OHP is nothing to laugh at. I know oly lifters who can't strict OHP 80 and can jerk 150.
