Well... thank you. All training is listed in this log.
I have basically started out with real strengthtraining for the first time in my life 2 weeks ago.
My nutrition is limited by the pouch but I still try to eat a lot.

Today I had a really shitty session. No lowerbody training as I am still amazingly sore:

- Pullups CTB 6/6/5/3 [pulled the bar to below the nipples - me being unable to do a muscle up is probably mostly due to bad technique]

- BP 8x80kg/3x90kg/2x100kg/2x105kg/1x110kg [benching felt heavy as shit today. But now I have an idea about my 1 RM]

- DBrows 10x40kg/16x40kg [Those are so much fun. I should call them krocrows from now on ]

- CII rowing some

Almost had to vomit. Overall felt like shit after the rowing. I mean really bad. HAd felt pretty sick before I went to training. But it went away during the weightraining. Only to return even stronger afterwards. Couldn't bend over to tie my shoes without using all my concentration not to vomit. There is something wrong. This sickness is absolutelly cruel.
Hopefully it is just part of the adaptionprocess taking place the next couple of months.
But just to make sure the doc will have my blood checked.
If it was on me I would just live and only go to the doctor if I am really, really sick like I did before I got UC. But I have to be a bit more cautious, especially in the first 1-2 years after the surgery.
But the current problems are minor. I will keep living and training like before and solve them "on the run".
Tonight: The last night of sleeping only 4-5 hours for a while (I hate getting up at 5 am )
Tomorrow: Soccer tournament.

Don't bend over so much.

Look at you benching more than me again.

Graedy,

First time back on this forum after a long time and just checking in on my favorite poster.

I see from reading the last few posts that, your recent troubles aside, overall things have gotten a lot better since your surgery (am I interpreting the post exchanges correctly?)

That's incredible news. I am happy things are getting better.

My friend, know that you are in my thoughts from time to time and I wish the best for you.

Dirrty vla speaking.

You have achieved that much in the last years. Your illness stomped you into ground and you never refused fighting back. That fight was hard and expensive.
Don't push yourself that hard. I don't only mean your training. You raised your expectation on yourself that high. I'm not your doc and don't claim to be an psycho analyst, but now that your war with your colon is over, don't go into a new war with yourself. Get some rest, take it slowly. You already did it beyond every expectations on your lifts. See alone your deadlifts you have not trained in years. You still lift more than me and many others.
Sure it's annoying your condition does not get better on the ergometer. Can't say anything on that. I suck there, too. No idea.
And for the frontsquats, you still have enough time to beat me ;)
Seriously, I worry about you. At least it would be nice to see you again in private. Means not at the trainining. It's been a while.

Lol, you emos .
But thanks.
We won the soccer tournament yesterday. As I can't play soccer at all my objective was to bully good players of the opposite team. If I only I knew what to do with the ball I could have scored some goals as due to me being a fast sprinter I just outsprinted the opposing teams a couple of times. Meh, soccer would be cool if you were allowed to tackle and stuff...
Afterwards I slept for 12 hours.

@Vla: Just remember the party tonight at my house. You better come arround aas I need someone to keep me from destroying stools this time

Next training is planned for tuesday.

Felt good today so I did some bodybuilding:

- Benchpulls 4x5x90kg/5x100kg [solid]

- DBBP [incline] 2x8x35kg

- Farmers walk 55kgx40-50m [one turn]/60kgx40-50m [First time doing those.60kg in each hand felt ok. Didn't use chalk and my hands were sweaty as hell. Next time more weight with chalk. Have to find out the lentgh of the weightroom so I know the exact distance.]

- Pushdowns [rope] 15x[4]

- standing Pulldowns 2x12x[6]

The farmers walk was one of the coolest things I have done in months. Felt so good. WAs screaming like a madman and squeezed the hell out of my hands on the way back with the two 60s. Then put the weight down and hit one of the saddles of the stationary bikes from the top like an ape . This relieved so much stress. Wow!
But I have no idea what is a good weight and a good distance on these.

Inspired by Keith's T3 I did the following today:

- Pullups 5x16,25kg/4x5x15kg @ 85kg
so 2507,25kg or ~5530lbs in 15 mins
[originally I had planned to do it in 20 mins but that is too long, the weights were chosen too light but I still loved it]

- Frontsquat 3x95kg/2x3x90kg/2x3x92,5kg
so 1380kg or ~3040lbs in 20 mins

- OHP [strict] 2x8x50kg/3x8x47,5kg
so 1940kg or ~ 4280lbs in 20mins

That was a fantastic workout. I probably gonna do this every second workout and change the repschemes through 10/5/3 every time I do it.

Afterwards I was still so full of energy that I did:

- Farmers walk 75kg each hand for 1 lane/ 1 1/2 lane [Managed the turn and just kept going. That is half of the weight they use at the WSM - Woot! ]

- Overheadsquat 3x50kg/4x60kg/1x70kg [Not too bad for the first time in ages and after a hard workout.]

Managed to build up a good drive and atmosphere in training this time. Sadly this didn't really carry over to Vla who was just lazy today

On a UC realted note:
The public health officers have viewed all my medical results form the past couple of years.
They made the following decision:

From 2003 on I was 60% disabled. In 2007 I was 70% disabled. And from feb 2008 I am 40% disabled.

If I had made the request earlier I would have a disbaled person card now until they had rechecked my healthstatus (which would have been in years) as you get it with 50+% disability.
But the 40% is just fair for me now and I guess Iam fine with this and don'T need the disabled person card.
Funny thing is that I got +10% in 2007. The only thing that changed in this year was that I got an ileostomybag after the colectomy. This improved my quality of life from "nonexistent" to "pretty normal". It also reduced my disability from "not being able to do anything" to "living with certain limitations".
Shows that they don'T have much of an idea about most illnesses.
But anyway. All in all this is ok.
