Glad to see you're doing well. that's awesome.

I would look into Cupping Therapy for cold/flu....it's very effective. Couple 15-20 minute treatments with glass jars on your back should kick the cold's ass very quickly...I been using this form a therapy for years...

Thx for the tip.
I don't get colds very often. About one every 2 years in average.
On top of that I really only care about an infection if I have fever.
If I don't have fever I train as usual and just have to push myself harder.
While I was chronically ill every cold or other small healthissue bothered me a lot. Healthy people often can't understand that. They think that compared to your chronical disease this little flu is a joke. But if you suffer a lot over a long period of time you are constantlly on the limit of what you can take. So if a flu takes healthy person to about 5 % of their "suffercapacity" a chronically ill person might be pushed from 90% to 95% and tha is fucking close to 100.
But now that I am not chronically ill anymore those little ill beings don't bother me at all as long as I can still do what I want. So training with a cough is just a little harder than without a cough - but I can still train! And that is what matters.
Weighed in at 84.5 kg today.
Where there were sticks I now have arms and legs.

Icon1 22/04/08 A glimpse from the past

Thx Alon. Nice to hear from you. Hope things are going well for you too.

@ bacon: Damn right. I really got bigger and stronger every day the last few weeks. I am amazed myself.

Did an oldschool highrep workout I used to perform with the rowers when I was a teen. I remember pretty good when arround age 16-17 I became the strongest for maxweights in the weightroom. Jan (about 24 at this time) challenged me to do this workout with him. I did it 3 times per week for 6 weeks. In the beginning I always had to swalow my own vomit. In the end I used the same weight as he did except for the legpress. I am not sure what weight we used those days (probably way more than I used this time) and I am not sure if I used the excat same set up. All I know is that it looks easy on paper but it builds a hell of a lot lactate which really makes you sick. Your heartrate is also very high throughout the whole workout.

- BP 4x25x40kg [too easy, more next time]
ss 60sec rest
- Benchpulls 4x25x45kg [harder, but still more next time]
2 min
- Legpress 3x30x70kg [easy, more weight]
ss 60sec rest
- Crunches 3x30 [would normally be V-sit ups but those are too hard on my abs, crunches were ok]
2 min
- Curls 3x25x30kg [That was hard. HAd to reset the bar 2 times on the last two sets. My lower arms were cramping like hell.]
ss 60 sec
- Pushdowns 3x25x[3] [good to relax from the curls, more weight next time]
2min
- Lunges 2x25xbw
ss 60sec
- 45° backraise 2x25xbw

All in all the workout was pretty brutal. The weights felt light. Cardio was also ok. But lactic acid tolerance and just overall muscular endurance was an issue.
After the workout I went to McD and ate 3 cheeseburgers.
That is postworkout nutrition for the lean foodlovers, bitches!
Plan to do the BWcircuit with Vla on thursday.
Then lowerbody on saturday and upper on sunday.
I begin to like this set up.

No offense but if a man without a colon can take in enough food to build muscle anyone can.
On top of that I can't even train for real yet.
You are pretty strong. If you wanted to build muscle you could just do it.
I hope this motivates you to enjoy some good food - lots of it.

@ Lusst: Yeah baby! I feel fucking great at the moment. My arms feel like someone has hit them with a baseball bat - and I love it!
