Thx. I also found it quite nice under the circumstances.
This time my friend finally manged to put some of the pics of our trip through Australia on a CD.
Some highlights from back in the days (2003) - some of th best pics got lost though:

Us hanging from a bridge:

This is not a poster:

Working on a saltwatercrocodilefarm (I am the guy holding the tail)

Having a flat tire makes us sad:

But getting the car out of the mud makes us happy:

And the bitter end to a really nice 3 1/2 months long trip. Me in a hospital in Townsville after a coloscopie - the battle begins.

I post pictures of myself hanging from a bridge, covered in mud and holding the tail of a saltwatercrocodile and you call me beautifull . I guess I get an idea how female athletes might feel

I weighed in at 79.9 kg today. I will now eat a bit cleaner again (starting next monday). And once I know the exact date for the next surgery I will go nuts on the weightgain about 2 weeks prior to it. MAybe I can get myself up to the 85kg mark .

- rev grip dips to failure (17) [up 1 rep]

- rows 2 sets to failure with stack 7 (25,16) [up one notch]

My bodyweight is 81 kg. My Hb yesterday was 12.2. Just called the surgeon. She will call me back when she has time. So hopefully I will soon know when the next surgery will be.

Edit: And btw. I have the cold of the century. And this sucks

When would school start? Spring or Fall?

Does your HB have to remain above 12 for a certain number of days?

One more question, what will you specialize in at med school? Colons? Or sport science stuff?

Nice pics Graedy, I envy you got to spend all that time in Australia!

Hopefully all goes well and you can get this part of your life OVER with and get back in school and start curing others.

I'll trade your cardio for my lift numbers

The HB is supposed to go nothing but up as I am not loosing blood anymore. And it goes up about 0.4 points a week at the moment. I had a HB of over 17 when I was still healthy (just to give you an idea).
I hope to go to university to study medicine next spring. But this really depends on how things work out for me. If things go not so well I will start next fall.
I am not really sure what I will specialize in. And I dont have to decide about it form the beginning. What I dont like too much about sportscience is that you make healthy people better with it and not sick people healthy. But there are possibilites to combine the two. Like in another rowing club Jan trains at from time to time there is also a group of cancerpatients who use sport to better deal with the chemo or even the soon death.

And yes. Australia was really a fucking cool time.
I found this pic showing me entering my flight back home from Brisbane. That was almost 4 years back from today. It marked the end of my old life, the beginning of a battle for many years and I didnt even have the slightest idea what was expecting me at this moment:

@ jk: The only payment I accept is colons. So make an offer.
