At the moment the process stagnates a little bit. Feel quite good over the day and pretty bad in the evening. arround 10 times to toilette. Little bleeding only in the evening. Got my next ironinfusion today. Doc also made a bloodcheck. Results next week. Down to 25+9 mg Cortison. I will stay at this dosage for a while now until hopefully im completelly in remission.

If this medicament doesnt work, i have to take Prograf. Like any Immunsupressiva it increases the risk of cancer and here ist a list of other possible sideeffects:

Side Effects of This Medicine
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Some side effects will have signs or symptoms that you can see or feel. Your doctor will watch for others by doing certain tests.

Also, because of the way tacrolimus acts on the body, there is a chance that it may cause effects that may not occur until years after the medicine is used. These delayed effects may include certain types of cancer, such as lymphomas or skin cancers.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

Abdominal pain; abnormal dreams; agitation; anxiety; chills; confusion; convulsions (seizures); diarrhea; dizziness; fever and sore throat; flu-like symptoms; frequent urination; hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there); headache; infection; itching; loss of appetite; loss of energy or weakness; mental depression; muscle trembling or twitching; nausea; nervousness; pale skin; shortness of breath; skin rash; swelling of feet or lower legs; tingling; trembling and shaking of hands; trouble in sleeping; unusual bleeding or bruising; unusual tiredness or weakness; vomiting

Less common

Blurred vision; chest pain; increased sensitivity to pain; muscle cramps; numbness or pain in legs; ringing in ears; sweating

Rare

Enlarged heart; flushing of face or neck; general feeling of discomfort or illness; weight loss; wheezing

Incidence not determined——Observed during clinical practice with tacrolimus; estimates of frequency cannot be determined

black, tarry, stools ; blistering, peeling, loosening of skin ; bloating; blood in urine ; blurred vision; cough; constipation ; cramping, or burning; convulsions; drowsiness; fainting ; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat ; heartburn; increased blood pressure; increased thirst ; indigestion; irregular heartbeat ; itching ; joint or muscle pain; lightheadedness ; loss of appetite; lower back/side pain ; nausea; pinpoint red spots on skin ; pounding or rapid pulse; recurrent fainting; red irritated eyes; red skin lesions, often with a purple center; shortness of breath; sores; stomach pain; sugar in the urine; troubled breathing ; ulcers, or white spots in mouth or on lips ; weakness; weight gain; yellow eyes or skin

This medicine may also cause the following side effects that your doctor will watch for:

More common

Hyperkalemia (too much potassium in the blood); hypomagnesemia (not enough magnesium in the blood); kidney problems

Less common

Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol); hypertension (high blood pressure)

Happy new year!

Shoot man. Be careful. Isn't there anything they can try thats a bit safer? Some of that sounds worse than the actual disease. Has your doc. used this med on anyone else and if so, did he say that most of them where fine?

Anyway, I really hope this is a better year for you!

Agreed. I hope some kind of medium can be found. I have a lot of clients who have come back from nearly fatal diseases or situations, from a man who was shot in the head twice to numerous people with cancer...and I can definitely admire your determination to be strong and healthy. Hope everything goes will for you where that's concerned in the New Year.

Thank you, guys. And happy new year. While my friends went out partying after 00:00 i had to go home to spend the night on the toilette. Dreamed that my girlfriend came back. But a dream is just a dream. I was short of to google "best way to kill yourself". But the show must go on!
They dont have that much experience with this medication. But most of the people which used it were fine. Well, the alternative as rickdog might know from his father, is a Colectomie (removal of the colon) which means i will have a stoma for the rest of my life. I decided to give the studymedication some more weeks. It has helped almost any patient, who used it. Why not me? Maybe it just needs its time.
This year can only be better than the last one.

Felt quite good today. Still had to go to the toilette about 15 times. But for some weird reason i felt ok. Did two waves up to 7 chins. That was much harder than i thought. But on the other hand this means 56 chins all in all. Then i rested a long time (due to the anemia im completelly done after a short period of physical activity). Did 25 Push ups palsm facing on the push up bars. Then i thought i should try how many strict shoulderpresses i can do with my 15 kg (33 lbs) dumbells. Managed to do 30 reps. But then i was so gassed that i had to sit down . Later i tried how many claps i can do during a plyo push up: 3.
All in all i would say that im still in quite good shape for a guy who has almost zero physical activity for about half a year and consumes some serious amounts of catabolic steroids for over one year now. I miss training so much . Im down to 20+12 mg cortison. For some reason the sideeffects often become stronger for some time whne you lower the dosage. SO my face looks even more bloated now (people ask me if i got my wisdom teeth removed ) and feels like its short of to explode.

Well, a new year has begun. Typically the time many plans for the future are made. Goals are set but never reached...
So i decided to tell all the people who read my log a little story:

When i was 18 years old, i had everything. I was good at school without putting any effort in it (i even jumped one class). With lifitng weights, i had a hobby, that i really loved and i was pretty good at. I had a beautyfull girlfriend, that really loved me and that i loved very much.
I was good looking (girls asked me they could touch my eight-pack...). I did stuff like traveling through Australia with two of my best friends and e.g. working with saltwater crocodiles (the biggest and most aggressiv crocs on earth) on this trip. So i walked on the sunny side of life.
At age 19 i got UC. My life didnt change immediatelly. In fact the UC started slowly and got worse and worse. And so i lost everything. Step by Step. I did everything i could do. today my Doc is a Prof who is one of the best of the best on an international level. But he cant help me. the disease is uncureable.
Today i cant leave the house most of the time because i always have to have a toilette in reach. If im able to leave the house (means risking to shit myself) people look at me. Not becasue im still good looking. No. Because my face looks ridicoulously bloated. So today im doomed to spend my days reading books, watching Tv or surfing in the internet. Alone. while my friends are at the university or at work. In the evening sometimes someone comes to visit me. But often i feel so bad, that i dont want to see anybody.

So what do i wanna tell you with this story? Do i wanna cry? Do i want to have your pity?
No.
Looking back i could have done much more with my life when i had one. There was too much: "Lets do it tomorrow." I know its the old "life is short"-moral. But you guys are free to do everythnig you want. You are not determined like me. Do you think, that i ever htought, that this could happen to me? It can happen to anyone.
Now go and do something you always wanted to do. Or really follow a goal with no excuses (mustnt be lifting). MAybe you have a girlfriend you love. Go and buy some flowers for her. TODAY!

Ok. Bloodwork form the 30.12:
CRP down to 5.2 (5 and less is normal) = Yehaw!
HB form 10 down to 9 (13-17 is normal; when i only had the disease for 1 year i still had 15.6) . If this goes down to 6-7 i have to go to the hospital and get bloodtransfusions because my blood cant transport enough oxygen to my organs anymore then.
But this wont happen! GOGOGO!
