last night i went to standup class. we did some slipping drills and counter punching, then some combo work, then some conditioning. i almost threw up since my gas has become incredibly girly.

tonight i went to open mat. i did some rolling, hitting the heavy bag and sparring. in rolling i got poaned, though towards the end i was fixing most of the mistakes i was making. totally rusty. in standup i also got poaned, though i did get some good clinch and knees in, otherwise i was getting dominated. i think things will be fine once i get going again.

today i went to class, did some standups, combos, and defense drills. not eating all day was a bad idea.

yeah no doubt, i felt like i was going to puke just doing warmups, it was not good.

today i did some striking on the heavy bag and some more defense work.

i did some grappling and sparring tonight. i thought i would get schooled in grappling but i did okay, though i got subbed every time, i was able to roll for 3-5 minutes at a time without getting subbed and with getting good positions. in sparring things are coming together more, i need to work on more combos or recognising openings during a combo (?) 'cuz right now my arsenal is fairly limited.

tonight i did some defense drills and sparring. sparring was nice, i got the wind knocked out of me, still gotta get more combos in my arsenal.

more offense/defense drills today, we added clinching and countering to make it a little more complicated. also did a few rounds of sparring, i felt more frustrated today but landed some good shots. next week i am going to work on getting 4 new combos into my arsenal and keeping my head empty.

i did standup drills and sparring tonight.

fatigue: at the beginning of sparring i was throwing lots of combos, moving in and out, teeps, and whatnot. by the end i was throwing only 1-2 shots at a time and not moving out when i needed to, resulting in me getting hit a lot.
