Das: Good work on the log. Where do you train MMA in the city?

Also: Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album...Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece.

yesterday i did:

warmups, shoulder warmups.
15, 15, 15 hyperextensions

push-press:

15 @ 45lbs
10 @ 65lbs
5 @ 95lbs
5 @ 135lbs
3 @ 135lbs
3 @ 135lbs

weighted dips:

10 @ BW
5 @ BW + 70lbs
5 @ BW + 60lbs
5 @ BW + 60lbs

short day. i was feeling drained.

today i did:

dynamic stretches
3 x 15 hyperextensions

bunch of round kicks, teeps, and knees. just over and over cycling from one to the other, some breaks. i did this for about 45mins-1 hrs.

Did you know that Whitney Houston's debut LP, called simply Whitney Houston had 4 number one singles on it? Did you know that, Christie? It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, Elizabeth, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album.

today i did:

warmups
15, 15, 15 hyperextenions

deadlifts:

15 @ 45lbs
10 @ 95lbs
5 @ 135lbs
5 @ 195lbs
5 @ 195lbs
5 @ 195lbs

hang cleans:

5 @ 95lbs
5 @ 95lbs
5 @ 95lbs

then i did 3 sets of 40 of one midsection exercise with sets of 20 of another in between. i should learn the names of these exercises. then i stretched.

kinda ran short on time but overall good. going to class tonight so i should be able to sleep very early (very tired).

today i did:

i was late getting out of work so i just went to the non-MMA gym. i did:

warmups:

dynamic stretches
15, 15, 15 hyperextensions

a ton of round kicks, knees, and teeps. i couldn't find one of my wraps so i just worked on my legs. i also did a few sets of burpees mixed with knees, but i think i am going to start using the Bas Rutten stuff again more. it is just easier to do mentally, probably for a bunch of reasons..

now i must eat.

after being pwned by work for a month, i'm back in aktionz!! push today:

the gym got a new Thai bag and heavy bag so i slapped at them for a bit, my shins have become all girly again so it stung and little tears rolled down my feminine cheeks .

tonight!

i went to class, did some x-guard stuff, transition from butterfly guard to x-guard and then some sweeps. my lack of attendance has really pwned me as i'm not used to training in the heat, but it was good to be back in class.
