I like chicken.

My last log was an utter fail, so now im making a new one, with more lifting.
A bit about me: Im skinny. Nothing I can do about it. Its in my genes. But so what! Who gives a shit. That aint gonna stop me from trying. Aaand, ill never have to worry about being as fat as you guys .
Ive been doing a loose 5x5 with good gains for about 2 months, but the workouts are too long and i find it inpossible to work around my school and work schedule. I needed a program in which i could lift two days ina row.

The plan:
Starting tomorrow, im gonna find my maxes in the OHP, Squat, Dl, and Bench . Then, its 531 time. Ive wanted to try 531 forever, so i thought why the hell not, it fits my schedule.

These are my estimated maxes (not yet proven):
Bench:140
Squat: 240
Deadlift: 250
OHP: 95

ya, ima bitch. But im making progress, slowly but surely moving north of vag.

Squat Max Out:
Only had 30 min in the Gym, it closed @ 5 and I had a guidance counselor meeting (we actually talked about lifting) about college recommendations. Essays are a bitch.

I felt good going into the gym.
Warm Up: Rotator Cuff stuff
Clean and Jerk: 95x5
135x3 + two front squat

Squats:
95x5
135x5
185x3
205x1 ok
225x0 WTF
205x1x2 Mad smooth
225x1 Mad hard, WTF
230x0 WTF!!????

F-ity f- f- f-er! My back felt shitty, maybe didn't recover from wed's deadlifts? maybe cause ive been getting like no sleep lately? F- it. I just sucked today. F- me. Vaginitis?

GOD DAMN!

On second thought, I dont think I hit depth. Ill focus on hitting depth and less squat-morning-ing. I didn;t realize I was squat-morning-ing so much.

Ill definetely work on it. But Im sure I can get 225 for a solid, legit rep. I just know I can. Ill try again on soon.

Bar x 20
95x5x2
115x5
130x1
135x1
140x1
Bench: 145. Quite a surprise, went up very smooth. Felt powerful.

Deadlift:
145x5x2
185x5x3
245x1 Went up smooth. W/ shitty nylon nike belt like thing
265x1 w/ shitty nylon nike belt-like thing. Hard as fuck.
My school gym has a really nice belt (I think its an inzer) but its too big for me .

Did some light squat singles to work on form. (Like 135)

Gettin some lifting shoes.

Got a couple questions:

I started doing core work. I read an article on elitefts, called core excersizes for the strength athelete (something like this). Pretty much my ab workouts consist of two things, Roman Chairs and Shovel Deadlifts.

After doing heavy Shovel deadlifts and heavy deadlifts in the same day last wed, my lower back, just above the pelvis kinda hurts, in the mornings quite badly. Its near the si joint, or may be it is the si joint.
Didnt hurt at all when I deadlifted today, weird.

My question: Should I not go so heavy on shovel deads and just do em for higher reps? Or cut em out and use saxon side bends or suitcase dead or something else.

I do core twice a week (each workout consisting of a 5x5 with those two excersizes as heavy as I can go).

Shovel deads just hit your obliques so hard, it would be a shame not to be able to do them.

I do core twice a week (each workout consisting of a 5x5 with those two excersizes as heavy as I can go).

75*5
80*7
80*7

Dips w/ hands on 1 chair, and feet on the other.
bw+25*10*4
Tweaked left tricep, the part that goes into the elbow. I felt a click, and then it kinda hurt. Ice+Advil

GHR on floor:
BW*5*3

Monday Nov 2nd. @ School gym:
Deadlift:
160*5
180*5
205*10. Felt great, probably had more in me.
225*4.5 Just felt like doing it!

Hypers on Roman Chair:
BW+40*8*2
BW+40*6

Romanian DL:
135*5*3

Roman Chair Sit-ups:
BW+25Lbs (On chest) *5*3

Chins:
25*7
25*5*3

Yea, Spent a shit-ton lot of time at the gym. But I had no work that day, so I was like : "Yea why not".

Thursday Nov5:
Squat:
135*5
155*5
175*5

BB Rows:
115*5
135*5*3
115*10

Felt like absolute crap. I lifted in my driveway, and it was cold, and I didnt warm up enough

Friday Nov 6:
Bench:
95*5
75*5
115*10. Nice and easy. Felt great. A little tricep twinge, but no problem.

Chins:
BW+25*5*5
Squat:
Random singles for form work up to 185.

Sat:
God bored. I was at a freind's house, and couldnt play video games b/c the comp was being used.
Curls 70*5*5 + 1 set of 21's with 55lb for "teh pump"
I wanted to see what all the craze was about. I was very disappointed

5/3/1 Cycle 2
Sunday Nov 8
I decided to deadlift today to rest my tricep
Worked out at he local YMCA. Love that gym. Its small, smelly, has old ass weights and 1 power cage with barbells that dont spin. But you never cold, and it just feels good.

Deadlifts:
175*5
195*5
215*10 Good form, kept everything tight. It was hard though. I decided to up the percentage. I did three and felt so good, I decided to do 7 more.
225*1 I was fried
Deads felt amazing today, everything was smooth and oiled.

Squat Form Work:
135*3*3

Hypers on 45 degree ramp thingy:
60*10*5
These are alot easier than a roman chair!

Plate Pinch:
Take three dimes. Hold in each hand for as long as possible. My left hand is weaker, so I would hold that hand to failure three times for every 1 right hand.
Do this another three times

So far, Im really liking 5/3/1. I get much better recovery.

Oh, and I fixed the SI joint problem. Popped it back in correctly. All is well.

Its kinda funny and pathetic that me, a skinny highschool kid squats and deadlifts more than anyone else at the Y. I saw this huge guy, doing crazy ab shit (that thing rocky does in rocky 4) and then half squat squat 100 lbs. It was hilarious. Even more funny, he went to to do three plates on a sitting calf raise while grunting.

185*8 or 9, lost count

225*1 w/ belt. Some GMing, but whatever.
