Monday & Tuesday rest

Wednesday
Dips with weight vest @ 100-lbs
6x, 6x, 5x
Pull-up attempts
0x,0x,0x
chin just short of clearing the bar on all attempts,
after failing single rip, hung till grip failed

*two guys working out nearby were interested in vest, one tried it on and got close to doing a pull-up and busted out a couple of dips with good form

*two more guys who I know at the hand ball court said whaddup and inquired about the vest

*get this, get home less than five minutes later and then two homeland security agents knock on my apartment door and further enquire about the vest. overall i'm glad they are doing their job and didn't put a bullet in my head and then searched. they suggest i wear a shirt over it and that any and all NYPD can stop me to question me about it.

*legal advisory you can't wear a bullet-proof vest in public unless you are authorized law enforcement

*need to do stairs tomorrow

Did they think it was a suicide bomber-type vest?

yup

they told me its illegal to even wear a bullet-proof vest in public

also to cover it with another shirt on top, too hot to do that plus it would be even more conspicuous that way.

when they came over the examined the pockets (that hold the weights) to make sure they would be better served with search dogs or electronic detectors.

Sunday - Rest

Monday, July 22nd 2007
Weighted Calisthenics BW @ 180 + 100-lbs vest
Push-ups 11x, 10x, 6x
Horizontal Pull-ups 4+2, 3+2, 2+2
*above +# means reset grip & immediately continued set

-done as supersets, tightness in left trap after first set, notable weather conditions, bars slick with water (adverse for pull-ups, no affect on push-ups) and light drizzle, (one other dude showed up and did pull-ups)
-had to take several breathers during active rest due to a combination of trap discomfort and out of breath

*sprayed vest with febreeze hope it isn't funky for next workout
