Thanks, Enright. I'm going to start working the actual pause more. I might keep doing the ones I did in the video to work depth, but I really need more out of the hole strength. And I'll work on sitting back some more.

Nice bench.

Are you going to do Chicago's Strongest? It's filling fast, so get your entry in if you're planning on competing. I sent mine yesterday.

Got the paperwork filled out, check written, in the envelope, stamped, etc. Tomorrow, it will be in the mail.

Today's workout:

Deadlift
225x5
315x5
405x2
455x1
485x1 (10lb PR)
495x0x2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ru6WQhTrdY

The 485 actually felt super easy. Then the 495 was like hitting a wall. I had maxed today so I could start up a Coan/Phillipi, but I think I'm going to wait until January to start it, since I'll be going home to Alabama in a few weeks for Winter break, be staying there for a week or two, and then coming back around New Years. So for consistency's sake, I'm going to wait. But until then, I'll figure something out to do.

Hang Cleans
155x7 (I think it's 7)

Cleans
155x3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES3mdfuhU78
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y0EyK07JdI

I did those for the sake of filming them for more critique. I really think I should give it more time with more practice in between before I expect amazing results in my technique.

Complex @ 155lbs
DOH Deadlift x 5
BOR x 5
Hang Clean x 5

x3

Straight Leg Captains Chairs from the top of a CHINS hold
x5x2

Russian Twists
25lbx5x2

I had a lot of success w/ DEVIL'sSON's PR rep scheme. Check my log for details. It may help. Good stuff, regardless.

Finnegan, antagonist exercise first followed by roughly 25lb increases in each attempt?

http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showth...p#post16983314

And thanks, Zero. When's the last time you had a max pull?

Sorry. Forgot to mention which post I aas talking about. Here is what he suggested to me for my max deadlift attempt:

135x3
185x3
225x3
275x3
315x3

365x1
405x1
455x1
495x1
550 x 1

But yeah, his push press stuff is solid too.

Gotcha. I thought about going straight to 495 from my 455, but I had trouble in the past with 485... so I had to settle a little beef with it. And honestly, I didn't think I'd get it with as little trouble as I had, since I had seriously been neglecting my DL for a while.

I think I'm going to do a modified version of the ZDL routine you had going. That should last me until the end of December, and then I can start a Coan after that.
