I had to cut a lot of things short due to a group meeting. I am happy that I got into the gym at all though. I got out of a test early and decided to use my free time to get some pressing in. Good times.

Nice power cleans man. I need to sort my PC form out, I can only sometimes get 225 up.

Thanks, fenn. My form is still a huge wreck. Once I get some time, I'll work on fixing it up.
Warmup
Squat
135x5
135x5
225x5
315x3
365x1
405x1 (failed 2nd rep)
Front Squat
225x5
275x1
Wasted too much time talking and had to leave for a meeting. Dumb time constraints. I wasn't feeling the gym today anyways. Morning workouts suck for me it seems.

This took about 6 hours. We were lost for about half that time.
Lessons learned:
-Never listen to my friend's internal compass
-When nightfall is approaching and visibility drops even more, don't listen to him again
-When we found that road the first time, we should have stuck to it instead of trying to shortcut back across some mountain
-Finding bear poop when visibility is 30ft and dropping is scary
-It's apparently easier to make a complete circle in 30 minutes than I had previously thought
-Descending after 6 hours of climbing mountains is so much easier than ascending
-Backtracking does work
-Holding back from beating your friend for finally admitting that he had no idea where we were when he said that the car is just that way is really really really hard

As a forest ranger I feel this nagging obligation to lecture you. Last guy we went out on a search and rescue for we found dead. Didn't tell anyone where he was going, no cell phone, no water, etc.
Smack your friend for me.

BB, I know. My buddy is a huge idiot, but we figured we had time to kill before dark earlier when we originally found the first road. Then we were lost for longer, and our buddy was saying how we could just camp out there overnight... with all the gear we didn't have of course. And then on the way back up the mountain from the valley we ended up in to get back to the road when backtracking, of course he was the one all tired and had to stop and take a break, and he refused to continue until he could rest, so we felt obligated to wait on him instead of leave him behind to find his own way back. Needless to say, the other guy and I were pretty pissed at him.
BJJ free roll: 2 hours
rolled a lot
learned a new arm triangle variation from a purple belt
worked on some half guard escapes
worked on passing half guard
worked on getting out of side control and keeping it
finally got the baseball choke down
feeling more comfortable with omoplatas
learned dick things to do to people in competition

BJJ: 1 hour
worked keylocks, armbars, gi chokes all from mount
and a standing guard pass
bjj free roll: 1 hour
was so tired during this
even had trouble swinging my hips out going for armbars, etc
kind of sucked
finally felt comfortable posturing out of a triangle though, I've been neglecting to treat it like a deadlift, as soon as I drove my hips through and squeezed my glutes, he had no chance of pulling me back down
