Men don't diet Fenn. Men eat clean. When I am trying to loose that stubborn last 5 pounds I will visit the old D&S. It may be a while.

Wednesday

yardwork workout: pushmowing, yoyoing, spiltting and stacking firewoodwood. about three hours total.

Thursday
Fieldwork in Grand bayou Louisiana=11 hours

I drank 10 bottles of water and two 16 oz sugar free amps and only had to pee once. I think I sweat more yesterday than back in the +100 temps last month. It was humid, still and hot. I was in mud with a lot of distance to cover with a lot of gear. I went home, showered, ate, and went to bed.

I weighed in at 326 today which is 14 pounds less than when I first weighed about two weeks ago.

The diet is still bulletproof. No overeating, no junk and no ETOH. The worst that I have had are the sugar free energy drinks and the don't have any calories.

I want to squat again, but right now I just want to stay active and keeSo long as the weight is coming off i won't beat myself up for not squatting 3x a week.

A hurricane is heading my way so I may be cooped up this weekend.

Good job buddy. I'm telling you, you really have it the easiest it's going to be right now, according to the Berardi Massive Eating Calculator at 324lbs. and 25% bodyfat and one intense weightlifting session per day you need over 5k calories per day. That's pretty hard to do with "clean" food. Just cut out the shit, sodas, juices, condiments, fried food, and eat good ole meat, fruit, veggies, nuts, and grains, drink a gallon of water a day and you're guarunteed success.

I know I'm not telling you anything new, but just know I'm being supportive over here. Keep up the good work.

Thansk man. I have read Berardi and others. I know what I need to be eating, I just haven't been doing it until now. I will drink diet sodas and an occasional gatorade peri and post workout, but otherwise I am not drinking calories.

I buy precooked (broiled) chicken breasts and pulltop small cans of fruits and vegetables so that I never have an excuse to not pack a healthy lunch.

Liquid! sent me a link to Marc Bartley's log[/b] for motivation and he was praising the precooked chicken breasts. I have found three different flavors so far so I shouldn't burn out too quick. Come fall I will be eating a lot of wild game as my protein source.

I hear you on the pre cooked chicken breasts. I know free range would be better, but hey, Im lazy A LOT of the time. They definitely make things alot easier.

I had no electricity or running water this weekend courtesy of Ike. I did not let the diet fall apart which wasn't very easy. I didn't exercise though and that sucks. I have a healthy lunch packed and I have yardwork to do tonight and then I will.................SQUAT!

at least an hour of yardwork

bodyweight and bar squats for warmup and form practice

ATG squats

115x5
140x5
165x5
185x5
185x5

It was sad how difficult the last two sets were. It was not surprising, but still sad.

The good news is that I at least got under the bar again and that this is as weak as I ever have to be if I make the right choices.

I think I will bench and deadlift Wednesday and maybe do a full "day 1" 5x5 on Friday. I definetley have to ease back in if I am to keep up with my fieldwork and yardwork.

The diet is still flawless. I was eating absoulute garbage out in the field (gas station food and fast food). It is sooooo easy to eat the worst foods possible in the rural south. It is also easy to eat terrifically. We have fresh local produce, wild game, yard eggs etc.. I am eating enough food now and I am keeping my carbs to veggies and fruit 95% and eating lean protein every meal. What I realize is that I now eat in a day what I used to eat in a meal. That's just in quantity. I ate way more calories than that. Now I am in control and making intelligent choices and I will keep doing so.
