you could try log press from the floor depending on the rack you have.

I've contemplated doing that before, but the couple of times I tried to do incline pressing with the log, it killed my shoulder so I'm always weary about trying any bench movements with the log now.

Stiff leg deadlifts (or maybe I'm just doing RDL's)
225 x 10
315 x 10
365 x 5? I might have done 8. That's what I wanted to do, but I feel like I only did 5 on both sets.
365 x 5
What's your depth on these?

Also, you could post a vid of your log and we could look for form tweaks. Same for the yoke - it's ALL about positioning on the yoke. The same weight can feel crushing of comfortably hard, depending on if the setup is right.

You keep saying if feels like you did so much more, but unless I'm crazy right now this looks like an awful lot of volume. Do you mean you feel like you're doing a 5 hour wo, but it's only 2-3?

Thanks man.

Here's a vid of me doing the log - YouTube - Greg 12" log - 225x3 I think I've figured out the technique on it pretty well, I just haven't touched the log in months and have been only using an axle lately so the log is just awkward.

and here's a vid of me doing the dreaded 630 on yoke YouTube - greg sucks at yoke I made a thread on marunde's site earlier this week and got lots of good tips that I'm gonna try to add in next time I do yoke, which may be this saturday.

As far as the SLD or RDL's.... I go to an inch or two off the floor I believe.

Saturday 5/17 --- headed down to Babylon

warm up

Axle power cleans
125 x 5
165 x 3
180 x 2 for I think 4 sets
210 x miss, immediately stripped 5's off and hit 200 x 1

While waiting for everyone else to finish up so we could go outside, I did a few sets of clean pulls with 225 for no reason. Then attempted to power clean 225 and missed it because I caught it too far forward. Rested a couple minutes and then hit it. I'm not sure what the most I ever power cleaned before but it definitely wasn't close to 225

Tire x max flips in 90 seconds. Hit 14 reps in 1:28
-I had 8 flips in like 40 seconds, so I tried to pace myself to make 15 in 90 but ended up going too slow and thats why I only hit 14.

Yoke (all beltless)
270 x 80 feet
450 x 80 feet
540 x 80 feet
540 x 80 feet
540 x 80 feet
540 x 80 feet
540 x 80 feet + hold for around 10 seconds
-I took a bunch of advice from the thread I posted in the media section on marunde's site and it helped a lot. I forced myself to put my hands on the side beams (even though I wasn't pushing on them at all) and it helped me stay a lot more stable. I also picked it with my feet in the position that I would walk in and it helped a lot. I have videos of the first two sets that I will probably post eventually.
-That's also a PR for distance with that weight, and definitely a volume PR. I could have gone much further than that too.

medley
prowler with 4 plates + 2 25's x 60 feet, flipped the tire 10 times, then prowler back 60 feet again (both with the high handles)

Killer work on the yoke - that's one of my most uncomfortable events.
