It looks like a normal bar, but is a tiny bit thinner and has more flex in it than a normal bar. Much more comfortable to deadlift with, for me anyway. I think I've read that people who are stronger off the floor than at lockout prefer a regular bar.

Oh well, I'll ask Kenny (that's his name right?) when we get there. Or if he's not around i'll just check for them or use a regular bar and just not go as heavy.

Friday 3/28

stretching, traction, pvc
elliptical for 20 minutes

Saturday 3/29

Went to check out the gym in west babylon, mainly to get a good stone workout in (=[) since I haven't had one in a long time.....

stretching, traction, pvc at home, did a little more at the gym

Deadlifts
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 3
365 x 1
415 x 1
455 x 1
495 x 2 misses! WOW, very upset with this. I didn't budge the first one and only got the second one a few inches off the floor. Don't know what happened there, but I think I'm gonna retract what I said a few days ago about concentrating on deadlifts for a while since I can't pull every week and see gains

Medley (warmed up with light farmers and yoke)
450 yoke, 220 farmers x 50 feet? maybe a little longer, than 5 flips with the 600+ tire. My time was 1:03 or 1:06. BIG improvement from last week, although last week my back was killing me, and our tire is much much harder than the one we used today

[CRAPPY] Stones
series to 48" - 230, 260, tried 320 but could only pull it to my kneees.... (might have done this twice)
then had like 8 misses with the 320. I was pulling it up to my knees every time but I coudln't transition it over. VERY dissapointed in this as well. Ugh. My back was also feeling pretty crappy, but no where near as bad as last week.
I did a couple more singles with the 260 and stopped

Then to punish myself: Prowler (I LOVE THIS THING)
5 trips of ~150 feet with 100lbs on it with the high handles
5 trips of ~60 feet with 100lbs with the low handles

Terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible workout. Ugh.

How did the Prowler work out? And it's just a sled basically, right?

It was awesome. Much harder than a normal sled. It's like a sled with handles on it that you push rather than attaching a chain and dragging, although you could attach a chain to it too. If it wasn't 300+ bucks I would definitely get one

Nice, I may have to throw that in on a medley one day coming up. Do you remember what the code was to get the farmer's handles and prowler?
