That's crazy man. I was concussion prone in football, and had numerous minor ankle injuries, but other than that I am good.

Saturday 3/22

My neck has been stiff since I tweaked it again, but it's not painful. Probably because I've been taking an NSAID for it.

Warm up

2" axle deadlifts
110 x 5 double overhand
200 x 5 double overhand
290 x 3 first one was double overhand, got the 2nd to above my knees and lost it.
340 x 3
380 x 1
430 x 1
470 x 1 (with belt) technically a PR

18" deadlifts
315 x 1.... and aggrivated my damn back where I popped it like a year ago again
405 x 1.... bothered me so I stopped.

I'm stupid, so I kept going, did more stretching and traction first though

medley
270 yoke, 135 per hand farmers x 50 feet each
450 yoke, 225 per hand farmers x 50 feet each, then 5 flips with the tire. I think I did this in 2:02? Need to improve this a lot before my next competition, obviously. I'm in terrible shape.

Tire
something like 12-15 flips in a couple singles and doubles. Then did 10 where I flipped it to my friend, he flipped it back. Only stopped cuz it was bothering my back a bit

stones (no tacky)
lots of singles, tripples and fives with the 260 stone.... only lapping it because I tried to load the first one and it really bothered my back.

I'd really enjoy working out where I don't hurt something.....

Tuesday 3/25

Been doing a ton of stretching and traction since saturday and it's helping my back. I really need to keep doing this stuff at least once a day since it obviously was helping me the more often I did it.

I have decided to put my squat on the back burner and concentrate on my deadlift for a little while. I'm hoping to pull 500+ on the axle soon. I was going to do speed box squats on tuesdays, but I decided today that I'm not gonna do any back squats for a few weeks and just stick with semi-heavy front squats.

Warm up

front squats (no belt)
95 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 10
225 x 5
245 x 5
-decided to keep it even lighter than I was planning because I had a bad feeling.

backward sled walk
3 plates x 100 feet for 5 sets

forward sled sprints
3 plates x 100 feet for 5 sets

95lbs power clean to front squat
40 reps in about 9 minutes. Pretty pathetic but at least it gives me a number to work from.

Axle hangs
2 sets, then did 1 set from the pull up bar (untimed)

Single leg calf raises

Natural GHR
1 set of 5, hurt a little so I switched to single leg band curls (light band) for a few sets of a lot of reps per leg

sit ups with 25lbs weight behind my head
I did 5 reps, then dropped the weight and did 5-10 more reps for 3 sets

Wednesday 3/26

Off from school this week, so decided to get a little extra work in today

stretching, traction, pvc

Forward sled walks
3 sets of 100lbs on sled, while wearing a 50lbs rucksack x 300 feet
-only rested enough for my friend to drag it back

Keg carries (full of water)
3 sets of 100 feet

Sledgehammer striking
4 sets of 50 swings (25 per side)

Felt good

Thursday 3/27

warm up

lat pull downs
2 sets of 10

Axle clean and then making it go over my head
110 x 5
130 x 5
160 x 3
180 x 3
200 x 1
230 x 1...eaaaaaaaaaaassssssyyyyyy
250 x 0...had it locked out but I leaned away from it instead of dropping under it and had to dump it forward......damn
250 x 0 again.... close but not there
200 x 4 clean each rep, cleaned a 5th and pressed it 3 more times
-the 2 misses and the last set took a lot of me.... I felt beat the rest of the workout and it showed

Close grip high incline bench with axle
110 x 5
140 x 5
170 x 3
190 x 3
190 x 3
200 x 1...this was hard. I don't know why I put more weight on the bar when the second set of 190 was hard
160 x 5
-sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oo weak

Bent over rows
185 x 10
225 x 5
......too beat to do these
Dumbbell rows
110 x 5 per arm
130 x 5 per arm
80 x 30 per arm

1 set of band pressdowns before I lost interest.

Greg, let me know ASAP if you want to do events on Saturday or not, because if not I might do them tomorrow instead.

Oh, sorry, I could have sworn I told you that we were definitely going. But yeah, me and 3-4 other guys will be there around 1:00. Do you have the address for the place so I can throw it in mapquest?

Thanks man. Do you know if they have a deadlift bar? Or are all of their bars just normal shitty gym bars?

I'm not too sure. What does a DL bar even look like? I just use a normal bar to deadlift, so I don't know really lol. They do have a few other bars in the back so they'd be there if they had it.
