Run FAT BOY, Run!! (weight loss, bjj)

So I am starting this log as a last resort. Today I start my new life, no real reason, just tired of looking at myself in the mirror and wondering what i could be. I'm 21 years old and have always been out of shape. I recently got into bjj classes and started doing Randy Coutures circuit routine and running. Ive only taken about 10 bjj clsses but I will be competing in december. I want to win but im realistic, im competing to learn as much as possible and to push myself in class. My routine as of now is as follows. (Please give any advice that you have)

Mon:
2 hrs of bjj
Randy Couture circuit

Tue:
15 min jog

Wed:
1 hr of bjj
Randy Couture circuit

Thurs:
15 min jog

Fri:
2 hrs of bjj
Randy Couture circuit

Sat:
Sprints- sprint for 15 secs then a slow jog for 45 secs. I can only do it for about 6 mins.

My Stats:
Age: 21
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 255 lbs
Body fat%: 35%

My Goals:
1. Improve my bjj
2. Lose weight
3. Improve my conditining
4. Gain strength

u need more cardio, increase ur cardio on tues/thur from 15 minutes to like 45 minutes or an hour. Rollin in bjj will def take some wieght off but u are gonna need more cardio. Also try to get a ew days of lifting in there to, put some core workouts or plyometerics in there too

Good luck, man. Patience and persistence are the keys. I've lost about 50 lbs. over the past year. Don't expect miracles, just aim for steady progress. And have fun. If it's not fun you're gonna lose interest.

Consistency.

Consistency.

Consistency.

It doesn't matter how much you do if you only do it for a week or a month. Don't overdo it. Increase gradually over time so that you can make this a long-term habit. It is better for you to form a true habit and make no gains at first then to make big gains, but overdo it and quit short-term. I had to learn this for myself and you might too, but it is easier to start out with resonable goals and workloads. Push yourself, but don't kill yourself for a few months at least.

Did my running and a backward workout today.

Thnx guys for the advice and the support so far.

Today I did my 15 minute jog. You guys said I needed more cardio so I through in a backward workout.

For the backward workout all I used was a 40 qt cooler(18" tall, 12" wide), 40 lbs of dumbells, a 50 ft rope. Fill the cooler with the dumbells and tie the rope to one of handles on the cooler.
To start the workout I did cooler jumps. I stand parallel to the cooler and jump over it from side to side 10 times. Next I grab the rope and drag the cooler 50 ft, then I run back with the rope to the spot where I did my cooler jumps. Now drag the cooler back to you and repeat as many times possible. I was only able to do it 4 times.

Hopefully I will be able to get a bjj class in tonight. If so, ill just add it to my log later tonight.
