Last workout before heading to Victoria for a week.
Was SUPPOSED to be just an ME legs day. You know, squats, RDLs, GHR, that sort of thing. But I was bored with that and did more Oly stuff.
Snatch
Worked up to a few singles at 80kgs. Did 3-4 OH squats for each Snatch rep. My back is teh swole.
C+J
Worked up to a whole wack of singles at 90kgs. I've been trying this to improve my jerk, and it seems to be really, really helping. I think I did 8. I lost count somewhere along the line.

Did a max of 200 for 2 horrible, ugly, painful reps. I'm so fucked for the strongman comp in may.
Finito. I may go for a run or two by the ocean on my "vacation". Who knows.

I'm doing something almost everyday...I just don't always post it. Lately it's been lifting every 2-3 days, running training for Rugby every day, or close to it.
My workouts would look like this: Ran again. Felt good.

I missed two workouts in between being back from vacation and getting sick, but nothing new and exciting.
Still suffering from a chest cold, but I went to the gym anyways. Plan was to start the Bill Starr 5x5 for squats today...yeah, no.
I'm obviously still sick, because things didn't go to plan. But I've now realized I've squatted close stance for far too long. I widened my stance a bit to a more neutral one...and I had no strength. My hamstrings feel weak and tired. Things were going well up until my actual final work set of 335x5...got 2, then had to dump the bar on the pins.
I was wearing my oly shoes. I'll try my chucks next time. I think I'll get back into the groove after a week or two. Especially when I'm not coughing after every set.
Time to drink beer and mope.

Power Clean:
That was only 80kgs, hence the very shallow drop. At about 100kg and up I start dipping down a bit more. I'll get a video of more weight sometime soon when I'm 100% healthy again.
Power Snatch:
I know I'm not bending my elbows very much and that's what hinders me on more weight. I'm almost keeping my arms completely straight and rotating the bar up and out away from my body. I'll have to play around until I get it right.

80kgs. Just making sure I'm not pressing it out and such.
Squats:
High bar/ close stance is what I'm used to. But I want to return to a a more neutral stance. I'm also giving a low bar placement a whirl because it might just help me with my Squat numbers. Which always seem to stall out for long periods of time.
